8220003 No.8220003 [Reply] [Original] [rbt]

One 20% Off sale is still going on and another is just around the corner.

Yanners has delayed the Unicorn print again, this time until early April.

>> No.8220055

How do I take advantage of the sale? Are the prices listed already discounted?

>> No.8220078

So far I've gotten bodyline packages #1, 2, and 4 of 5. Where is 3? It's concerning. I have the matching tote for l547 now but not the dress.

Also, I got l387 in black and like it a lot. I want to get it in other colors, but I read that the chiffon and cotton parts are noticeably different colors for the blue colorway. Anyone know if the other pastels have the same problem? Or does bodyline just not understand sax?

>> No.8220110

I messaged Yan about restocking the macaron and soft cream jsks. I think you guys should message him about dresses you'd like to see back on the site.
If the customers become more involved I'm sure bodyline could be stocked with some pretty decent (if not overly available) stuff.

Everything I've ordered from bodyline has come really fast, though the last time was like 2011. Thanks Yan.

>> No.8220373

I would ask if they would restock the shoes I want that are all out of stock but I don't have a Facebook account or nothing. Ugh I want those RHS with the straps to hold your feet in but I'm scared they won't ever be restocked.

I would love to see the macaron JSK and skirt get restocked. I think I'd prefer to own the skirt version personally. I haven't seen it around in a really long time though so I doubt it would happen.

>> No.8220390

I wish Bodyline would carry nicer socks. Maybe sone different kinds that are actually Lolita appropriate instead of some of the junk in stock now. I love their lace topped socks, both knee high and over the knee, but I wish Yan would discontinue them in favor of nicer cotton lace ones instead. I don't want to pay $25-$30 for a single pair of socks from the big brands when I know they're gonna wear out and get old just as fast as any other sock.

>> No.8225811

Do not buy a bodyline petticoat because they are bad quality and you will be wasting your money. Petticoats from bodyline will deflate very quick and are a waste of money.
If you buy a petticoat from ebay, it will be cheaper for the same or possibly better quality.
If you buy a bodyline petticoat you will feel very sad because of its very bad quality.

Anon, Bodyline may have better quality than Ebay but you're going to shell out $30 for a cheap Halloween tier petti on there that barely gives poof (like you wanted) when you could buy the same kind of poof from Ebay by getting one of those short 3-layer pettis or even buying two super cheap (talking under $5) pettis and layering them.

>> No.8226395

Nobody is mad, anon. I'm simply looking for someone to answer the question and give personal experience with BL pettis which was actually asked, rather than parroting what they've read on the threads before, and finally one anon has offered. So cheers but no thanks. Also not sure where you are getting $30 from when it's already been stated Bodyline's cheapest, low poof pettis are $8 with free shipping.

They aren't <that> scratchy that they will ruin your tights. I have two from Bodyline, one that I bought and one that came in the great lucky pack shitstorm of 2014. The lucky pack one was pretty decent and is still going (it's a mix of multi layers of tulle and chiffon). It must be a discontinued one because I can't see it on the website.

IIRC some anons whom ordered the dred" (dark red) shoes have said they're the dark red color if the bodyline shoe boxes. I don't know how dark you want though. Otherwise I don't think they do a super dark red.

>> No.8229207

I own that in white, it's polyester, so it wrinkles so easily, and the elastic on the upper arms can start to get annoying after long periods. The arm length runs short too, even with the lace.
In the end, I shortened the sleeves to a short sleeved blouse and reduced the lace length on the collar.
It's about a 6/10 blouse , crinkles a little when you wear it but if you shorten the sleeves it gets to about 7/10

Ugh, it's driving me crazy how high-waisted most of Bodyline's newer releases seem to be. I have a very low but defined waist and I usually find this to be one of the few shapes of lolita dresses that actually flatters my figure. I absolutely love this, but judging by the picture, I'm afraid the waist would hit somewhere in the middle of my rib cage. Depending on the price, I might contemplate chancing it.

I've ordered from them on 22nd March, got shipped two days later and it arrived on 01.04.

>> No.8244973

Same anon. I also need to buy art supplies but 1=1.30

>> No.8246185

Bodyline prices went up by a few dollars recently. Should I wait for Mr. Yan to lower them again or just go ahead and buy my stuff?

>> No.8246193

Be honest ladies, what's your favorite dress currently up for sale?

>> No.8246407

There's a Spring Sale coming so I'd say wait unless you think they're going to sell out.

The Alice apron JSK. I have it and it's so comfortable and cute. Non-for sale one would be Soft Cream.

>> No.8246415

How is the plaid L066 dress (in red)? Does anybody have it?

I'm a sucker for cute plaid.

>> No.8246454

Seconding this. I want this bad boy in either red or blue, it looks like it'd be really cute for casual wear.

>> No.8246472

I just ordered it, it left Japan yesterday, I'll report back. From what I've seen it's ridiculously cute IRL.

>> No.8246475

It's heading into spring/summer in the northern hemisphere, they may have dumped the coats since they're going out of season. Most stores do this, even ones with worldwide customers.

>> No.8246478

They're true to size, I have the black ones. They're a bit narrower than my other shoes, so I'd say you're good.

>> No.8246629

I have it! It's a little heavy, but the lace isn't scratchy, and the overall quality is nice aside from the satin ribbon laced in the back (which can be easily replaced). It's really high waisted, and I suspect that it wouldn't look good on someone with a large bust. It's also a little long and goes past my knees, but even if you're short like me (5') I don't think it looks unflattering. It's really nice for casual wear, but I have a hard time trying to find reds that match it exactly, since it's too bright to be burgundy, but deeper than cherry red.

>> No.8246694

Aw I wanted to read the outrage in the comments on the post but it's all in Portuguese (?)

That's super awful though.

>> No.8246782

Aw crap, I was hoping it'd be a dark red because bright reds look horrible on me.
I've been interested in it for a while though so I'd like to see more pics and opinions of how nice it is, maybe I'll nab it one day. I love tartan and have been wanting some inexpensive OP's that I can wear casually.

>> No.8246796

Can anybody tell me what are some good skirts for casual wear? Specifically something pleated in tartan or plain black. I've been wanting a few skirts for casual cute wear and for doing a school inspired outfit with but I have no idea on quality or anything.

>> No.8246846

IIRC, every Bodyline non-print skirt is shit except l325 and that other high-speed one with the roses, and those aren't particularly casual.

>> No.8246848

Derp, just realised you meant actual casual not casual lolita, never mind.

>> No.8246970

Here anon. Another pair of unfortunately trashed bodyline shoes covered in mold. Just for you.

Sooo those new floral dresses are up now, L570 and L571 - for 5399 YEN each (No spring sale on these, apparently). I want them both, but at 10k for those I might as well get second hand burando instead ... what to do?

>> No.8248987

and max 88 cm bust? that sounds wrong, the shirring looks huge.

>> No.8248991

The Spring Sale banner just went up but I don't know if anything has changed prices yet.

>> No.8248994

>5399Y each
>10k for both

Anon... 5399Y is $44.97 That's two dresses for under $100.

>> No.8249064

I feel like they didn't plan the sizes very well. 88cm is pretty small compared to the other sizes they offer, and on most of their dresses it's the 2L and 4L that are sold out. I thought they'd offer bigger sizes knowing bigger people will buy them.

>> No.8249068

not with my exchange rate damn USD and YEN :( I can get brand dresses 2nd hand from Japan for the same price.

>> No.8249073

Yes. this. Why?

>> No.8249095

I mean, don't get me wrong. If they don't wanna cater to obese busts they don't have to, but by limiting the new dresses to 82-88 they cut out of a lot of customers who genuinely want the dresses but can't get them because they're just outside of the 88cm/don't like to wear dresses at max stretch.

The dress only has a very small range of people who can wear it, and it's pretty pricy compared to other items. They really messed up on this one, hopefully they'll offer a bigger range in the near future.

>> No.8249101

Yeah I'm 5'8" and my bust is 96cm so if they're short and small I can't get them. Underskirts can only solve one of those problems.

>> No.8249108

Big ribcages are the worst thing to happen in lolita. I get that people don't want fatties to wear their stuff but FFS it's just my bone structure that ruins it, not my weight.

>> No.8249136

I'm the same. Just a huge rib cage, no fat so I can't even diet.

>> No.8249155

36"/30"/36" here and I know this feel

>> No.8249169

Especially because there are a couple jsks with the same pattern which are available in L. It would not even be that much of an effort to do them.

>mfw I'll never fit into them because of ribcage + bust, too
>mfw size L would fit

I don't wanna be that guy, but.. if it's just the color you wanted and the same style is elsewhere on the site.. maybe you can color another pair yourself? I think floral spray paint works well for shoe painting.

So I've been looking for a school girl style skirt to wear with regular clothes. What the ones mixed in with the school girl costumes like? Cute everyday skirts or totally costumey?

>> No.8250259 [DELETED]

Wanting to buy L328 2l in purple.

>> No.8250261

Costume578 is actually quite nice and it's made out of a soft fabric. I got costume824, which has a skirt almost identical to 578 so I would guess it feels the same. The only difference seems to be the way the skirt clasps as the waistband.

I just bought this dress in white new with tags for ~$15USD and am looking for some things to go with it/make it look nicer?

Any suggestions? What do you guys think of this dress? I just bought it because I thought it was a good deal.

>> No.8251105

Any idea what the fabric is made from? I want a pleated skirt but in black and was wondering if I could jus dye it myself since they don't seem to have any in black.

I'm also looking for recs on any of the school-style skirts for casual wear so I'm looking for recs too!

>> No.8251758

No, no worries, you're not "that" guy, this isn't bad advice. I've painted a pair of tea parties gold before using pleather/leather shoe paint, and they came out looking like shit. I just couldn't get the paint to be smooth, you could always see the brush strokes, and it wasn't even a nice shade of gold. It was like snitch gold. I couldn't find the nice champagne gold.

>> No.8251804

That's expensive. It's a pity, because I wanna get into sweet-classic this summer and they'd be perfect.

A bit stuck on how to coordinate them though. The designs are really summery IMHO, but they're JSKs so they need a blouse, which will make them warmer and also possibly cover up the bodice shape. I could go with a light bolero I guess?

It's been around a while but I'd like a quick review of l076, especially the material quality and fit, because I've been thinking of getting it.

>tfw it's never in stock in black

>> No.8251805

I've heard it can depend on which wig you get, but I'd say overall the thickness is moderate, and I think the quality is out of this world for the price. The only colors I own are natural ones (dark blondes, browns) so I can't speak for potential bright colored cosplay wigs. Just make sure you secure your hair underneath properly with a wig cap. I could see the hair net showing up with a rush job of not making sure your hair is flat in place with no bumps.

>> No.8251814

They probably vary depending on the style, but I have the straight black one and its thin IMHO. Can't see wefts but it's thin. Also it's cut in a layered way rather than cut straight across like I wanted, so instead of seeming gothic it's just like, normal straightened 00s girl hair, only black.

>> No.8251818

I like it in pink although it's plain. I think the contrasting colours on the other colourways look bad tbh.

>> No.8251824

If you got l076 in M, does it to over the listed measurements at all with the shirring? Asking because I'm 84-64-86 and l076 might just not fit my bust, but any larger is gonna be way too big on my waist.
