Bought ticket for Apop but don't have hotel and not sure if it'll clash with exam schedule.
Thinking about unplugged but it's pretty far from my university, and not sure if I want to get a hotel for a small con.

I went 2 years ago. It was like FanExpo, but smaller and better run. It's essentially just a dealer's room and some celeb Q&A panels. It was really fun to shoot in the Niagara area though, took a batman and Robin to Cliffton Hill and got some wicked shots, but had over9000 tourists interrupting my shoot to take shitty cell phone pics so it took longer than expected.
The only reason I haven't been back is because it's the same weekend as ColossalCon. Otherwise I would definitely go back.

Different anon but for AN I pack stuff I can stick in a purse and munch on as sometimes your day just gets crazy and you can't eat regularly for whatever reason. Stuff like cereal bars, or individual packaged snacks like mini oreo cookies as an example. Bring some breakfast stuff you can eat in your hotel room as it'll save you time from standing in line at Tim's in the morning just in case. I also usually bring a cooler bag so I can keep drinks and other stuff cold if I'm not lucky enough to get a room with a fridge.

Thinking bout it now, also do a trip to the dollar store and pick up disposable plates/bowls/cutlery/cups. I wouldn't risk/bother with bringing stuff from home as it could break, it's extra heavy load, etc etc.

speaking of crazy weeaboos, there was this fluttershy chick at the picnic that made me cringe so hard.

I just arrived at the park and was putting my stuff away when she surprise hugged me from behind (half glomp?) and buried her face in my wings screeching "OMG FLUFFY WINGS XD YOU'RE SO CUTE". I was horrified, given that my wings were made of fabric and i didn't want any makeup to rub on.

Friend had to later help me fix the safety pins holding my wings in place that were ripped open by the force of the hug.

Definitely, but I'm having a lot of troubles decided what kind of video to do.
I could either just shoot a few very impressive cosplayers and do a glamour-style video, or shoot as many cosplayers as I can, but it's a ton more work.
Problem is that AN has no great photoshoot locations to shoot in, all just parking lot or grass with electrical lines.
