No, everyone hates it. wtf. This one popular SS that took over 800 orders for Cherry Marguerite/Melty Berry Princess preorders said "I got zero requests for this week's AP release lol". Japanese girls are crazy, I predict no print items will go to sale this year.

It looks like a bedsheet AP put their logo on.

>> No.8330397

>>8330220

It's cool, I'm not trying to pick a fight. I'm just really curious because I cannot see it at all.

For instance, not all AP prints focus on toys. For Belle Epoque Rose, I'd even consider one semi-hidden toy a step back towards sweet. Romantic Rose Letter is a floral print that focuses on love letters, it doesn't have even hidden toys in the print, and it also comes in an op version that features those sleeves you mentioned.

The sleeves are a thing they've been doing for particular releases, it goes back all the way to Chess Chocolate princess OP, a 2011 release.

About the closest I can get is that the dress sort of bears some resemblance to IW's Hamiel OP, but if I had to choose, I'd say something like AP's Rosy Rose Princess bears closer resemblance to it than Belle Epoque Rose.

So, yeah. I'm not seeing classic influences anywhere. Like, at all. I think I'm not really convinced by your argument, but hey, we can agree to disagree.

Why the fuck would AP make such limited runs plus block out international buyers by limiting the web store and having just one in USA and think "this will keep the value of the brand up by keeping it niche!".
...and then when such and such dress ends up being locked up in someone's wardrobe after being worn maybe once so it can store for a year and get an inflated price tag. I'm sure all these dust mites in these closets are really giving AP a killing with all the brand advertising in them.

In my experience there are still Japanese women that go nuts for 80s looking shit like this. I've been to several Japanese weddings where one of the wedding dress costume changes looked like this. They are also really popular in hire shops and get worn to fancy parties etc. There are companies that let you wear these type dresses and then take your photo in a studio too, those are pretty popular across the country.

I think it's hideous too but AP clearly know what they're doing and know their market.

This probably isn't the right place to say this but I don't have any friends or anything so I will just let it all out here

I've been losing weight over the past few months and now I am officially 1 inch thinner than I was when I first started wearing the fashion 4 years ago and I nearly cried on the scale.

Soon I will no longer be a fattychan and I will finally be able to wear Blooming Flower without it looking like an empire-waist dress ;-;

Sorry for that I just really wanted to tell someone, you guys are my only friends.

This being the same person who is one of those who immediately tells others to stop being so sensitive if they mention that they have a mental illness or say that she has made an offensive comment about their age/race/whatever.
She is annoying the piss out of me, because she is so quick to shun others but whenever anyone says anything to her about being an annoying pissbaby, she says it is because we are "racist" and "tone policing" (which is mainly because her so speshul race pervades everything she writes).

relevant because she is a lolita and self identified brandwhore (openly looks down on people who own bodyline - who the fuck does that) who many people consider to be "racist" based on her hatred - oh excuse me, prejudice - against white people.

She has told someone that her parents shouldn't have adopted her because she is white before, and that "prejudice" is perfectly justified against a white person (even as a minority) because white people are evil colonialists. So the adoptees should have known that she would have been righteously "prejudiced" against and therefore not adopted her because she was white.

If it's the chest switching version it probably isn't going to fit you. You might be able to try a binder however it might give you a little more wiggle room. The OP should fit since AP's full back shirring in OPs can go to at least 106 before it starts to look too stretched out, sometimes more depending on the release. Since you're smaller in the bust, it might not ride up quite as badly, but the larger ribcage measurement is still going to give you issues.

I'll normally call bullshit mentally and not to someone's face but if they go ahead and say their tribe I'm less inclined to do so. Heck I can do tell you what tribes my paternal great grandparents were from, give you their names, I can remember meeting one of them, and what reservations my relatives live on but at this point I'm only 1/8th (1/16 from two different tribes) and I don't go around like "guys I'm part Native American~!"

Yes, there are differences between certain groups. But you can divide people into groups as big or small as you choose, depending on your threshold for what qualifies as different enough to be its own race. Fellow SCAD student here. There's really no comm to speak of in Savannah. I met a couple girls who wore lolita, but that's it. There's one girl everyone calls 'cosplay girl' who wears outfits that fit the lolita silhouette but is really weird/ artsy about it and would be considered ita by cgl standards. She makes her own stuff and is nice enough though. Locals don't really care what you wear. They know about SCAD and don't pay 'oddities' like us much mind. I couldn't help but translate the discussion into Spanish, since it is my mother tongue, but to me it makes sense. See, the initial point to the first expedition that reached America was to get to theend of Asia that was opposite to Europe, but they didn't expect a whole unknown continent in between. When Columbus and co. landed they actually thought they were somewhere near India, and even to this day the word for native americans in Spanish is "american indians". This all announced on tumblr: She can only freely identify as "Indian" at her College, when she goes home her own "racist" mother tries to tell her she is white, and family friends ask her what her "percentages" are, which she doesn't care about herself.

I get what reclamation is but the term "Indian" belongs to people from India, or at least Indian-Americans. It was erroneously applied by settlers and now most tribes are comfortable with First Nations, Native Americans, or simply the name of their specific tribe. The Native people who are trying to "reclaim" the term Indian are, I believe, in the wrong. It should not have been applied to them in the first place and the term belongs to another group of POC. It isn't theirs to reclaim. Sage for OT.

my fitness pal. Log everything religiously. Very quickly you'll see where you're sinking a lot of extra calories and can cut back, and what foods you like that are filling and relatively healthy. Eat smaller meals throughout the day. I eat 4-5 times now, works well for me. Don't feel like you have to completely overhaul your diet if you don't eat healthy. I still eat some junk, I just eat less of it less frequently. I don't eat as many veggies as I should, but I eat more than I used to and I don't beat myself up for eating strawberries instead of broccoli (there's only 145 calories in a lb of strawberries. An entire pound of strawberries is a lot of food). There's no magic to it, just a conscientious life change and readjusting your perceptions of food and serving size. Nuts will give you good fats, fiber, protein and other nutrients; chips will not, they're just empty calories and saturated fat. Nuts will help curb your appetite in a positive way and will promote healthy digestion, which is essential for weight loss.

Dried fruit has tons of vitamins. Yes, it has sugar and calories, but you'll be getting positive nutrition. Poor nutrition is often what leads to weight gain, not just too many calories.

I do agree that veggie snacks are good too, though. Also try looking up recipes for boiled chicken - it sounds unappetizing but you can easily make it tasty, and it's a lot healthier than fried and easier/more accessible than grilled.

First of all, I changed my eating habits a year ago, switched to full wheat products, stopt eating sugar (just honey). I rarely eat meat, means maybe once in month. While my boyfriend lost 10kg in two months just because of this food changes, for me it did nothing. This was very frustrating.

I don't exercise enough, I know that. I start a sports programm and after a few weeks I go back to my old habits. It's just I'm not sure what works for me and what not. I read books and blogs about sports and everyone says something different.

Over the hollidays I got invited alot and had to eat their "normal" food, everyone gave me chocolate or other sweet stuff as a gift and I can not throw away food. Since January I realised I look super fat in all pictures but I thought it will be better in spring/summer, it didn't.

I hate myself so much. I assume my weight is about 80kg now, I didn't weigh me for a few weeks now because I can not handle it. It would upset me and I would stuff myself cake. I know I'm depressed since I realised that I did gain so much weight.

What are the seller's terms of sales? If she said she'll ship within two weeks after the transaction (for eg), then you knew what you signed on for when you bought the item. Are there any other signs of dodgyness? Does her feedback mention how long she takes to ship items out? The duration should be counted from the day you made the full payment, not the day you "bought" the item, because no seller wants to ship out an item that hasn't been paid for.

If she's already missed her own deadline a couple of times, you could try telling her that the transaction has been dragging on longer than you'd like, and you want to cancel the transaction. Mind you, this looks silly if all that's happened is you paid the invoice late and she's only made one deadline, which is "end of this week". Asking to cancel a transaction only looks reasonable if she's said "end of this week" three weeks ago and still hasn't shipped out.

Lastly, paypal's dispute window is 45 days. Given that an international package takes between 2-4 weeks to arrive, you should start keeping an eye on the dispute window if the seller doesn't ship it out after 2-3 weeks.

I've lost weight and inches going low carb, high protein.
I'm not a /f/itizen but it really did help me a lot.
Multivitamins, small snacks throughout the day and one meal rather than 3 full meals, only eat when you're hungry. I do shakes with whey protein isolate and coffee in the morning. Coffee is surprisingly awesome at helping you lose weight, and keeping you regular when you don't dump a ton of sugar into it.
Drink water, but don't overdo it, I've seen girls reccomend a gallon a day, and while sure, if you can do that, fine, but make sure you're balancing your salt intake so you aren't deficient. Your brain requires a certain tolerance of salt content to function properly, keep that in mind.
To cut water weight, you can try the ACV trick, a Tablespoon of acv in a glass of water everyday.
Cinnamon pills exist, they reduce water weight and increase your metabolic response, best taken in the morning.
Fruits are full of sugar, when on a diet to lose weight fast, sugar is the enemy, in all of it's forms. Carrots, peas, grapes, bananas all have much higher sugar contents than you'd think. If you eat right, and take your multi, you won't be deficient in the stuff you get out of it.
I give myself one day a week, scheduled, to indulge in whatever I've been craving for the week, if it's enough of a craving that I've remembered it, I go and satisfy it.
I have much more advice I could give, but I'll limit it to that unless you have specific questions.

- Tenso will hold your parcels for 30 days, within 30 days of the arrival of the first package you can apply for consolidation of all the parcels that has already arrived into one big package (consolidation costs a fee though)

Basically only the in-person shopping services like chibi tenshi or tokyo pirates don't hold on to items for 30 days.

Are there any good pictures of lolita fashion shows ever? Good as in someone had a good camera, was placed at the end of the catwalk on eye level and took a pictures from the front of every outfit. Not gifs filmed from the fifth row or pictures taken from the first row way below the catwalk.

Agreed, pretty much all ss do this.
Except for Buyee which holds your stuff up to 90 days, I find them expensive but their holding period is very generous and they are very user friendly.
They also offer other shipping options now making things cheaper.
But lately I've been shopping with FJ mainly because they let you change the value on the invoice so you can lessen the cost or even avoid customs taxes.
When you live in the EU like I do, customs kills man. All those lovely bargains from Japanese auctions are suddenly not so cheap any more when you get hit with a €100 euro bill every time.
Do Celga and Japonaca also let you change the value on the invoice and parcel like FJ?
Which is cheaper, I wonder as well.

There is, but they're all over the place since it depends on whether photogs cover the show or not. This one is from weibo, of Krad Lanrete's fashion show.

Japanese Streets has some of 3F, JetJ up on their site.

I'd say AP's fashion shows will be much harder to get because they want to keep the prints a secret. Some of the better pics from last year's fashion show did turn up in Spoon Magazine, though.

Celga used to allow it, but I haven't used them for many years so I can't confirm.

Same with Japonica, they still allow me to change the value, but I've heard that some of the newer customers aren't allowed to. To clarify, I've been their customer since it was one dude with a mecha username, so maybe they make an exception since I'm an older repeat customer.

I haven't sat down to calculate the differences in cost, normally I use them differently -- Tenso for ordering from AP since that's the only way to get through a release, Fromjapan for more control over yja auctions, Japonica is better at mbok and when I need some extra advice (I sometimes asked about sellers with one or two bad feedback before committing to bidding).

On the surface, FJP should work out cheaper because their fees is only 5%, but they charge the 5% on international shipping as well, which is not cheap if you've bought a lot. Tenso is cheap if you're buying lighter things since they purely go by weight. Sadly, lolita dresses aren't that light. Japonica wasn't really cheap to begin with, but I find they're fairly priced for the service they give.

First of all thank you everyone for your suggestions. I will add vitamin pills to my daily routine, I'll try to find cinnamon pills too but I am not sure if I can get adderall. I already take Venlafaxin every day and I don't think I can get my therapist to get me adderall. Buying it online cost 209$ for the lowest dose with 30 pills. Beside that I'm not so fond of taking medicine without the doctor but I have to admit that I really want to try it out.

I agree that I started to be really lazy during my depression. Now I feel too ugly to go to the pool and I can not find any other sport which does not bore me after a while. I will try it again anyway, I really have to get rif of my laziness.

I feel stupid that I didn't refused the food over the holidays but the fact that I LOVE food doesn't help me to be firm.

I also tried the high protein diet for a few weeks but because of circumstances I had to take a break and never went back to it. I'll try to start it again but it is hard for me to watch others eat their delicious food, I'm very weak.

Since fucking when? India is in Asia. In the U.S. people usually assume Asian = East Asian (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc), but in other countries like the UK people assume Asian = South Asian (Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Indian etc) and Indians call themselves and identify as Asian. Even in the U.S., if they complain about being called Asian they're being fucking stupid.

thank you
none of the taobao resellers I know about (which are basically just those) have it
I'd email the brand (that's a really good idea btw) but chinese is not a language I'm versed in and I don't think google translate is appropriate

thank you though!!

Sorry, I advise against adderall, don't take these unless you have ADHD.
These are serious meds that can fuck you up when you don't needs them.

I have cinnamon pills from Now Foods, they are very good at curbing appetite and maintaining blood sugar levels.
Take them with Chromium GTF and you'll find you lose weight a bit faster, but you still have to diet mind you.
I know low carb or high protein can be very effective for people, but despite being extremely strict I didn't lose much after a couple of weeks myself and I felt crap all the time too.
Calorie counting really works for me. If you have difficulty staying on plan with the high protein diet I recommend counting calories.

Wondering if anyone who owns either of these pieces could tell me just how stretchy their shirring is. Lolibrary says in theory magical etoile should be the bigger one but to me, powder rose looks as if it has a bigger panel of shirring. Trying to decide what to buy on auctions.

Noob question here
When I was looking at a dress on Lolibrary it said the waist size was free (underskirt) what does that mean?

>> No.8336840

>>8336823
It sounds like there is 2 parts of the dress, the overskirt and the underskirt. The underskirt has a shirred waist band most likely because you dont need to be pretty if it is covered up, so it can fit a large range of sizes. It would be the other part of the dress that isnt fully shirred that restricts who can wear it.

I have an aatp skirt like that, the overskirt fits a max 26 inches but the underskirt has a lot of shirring.

Japonica let me specify how I want the package marked (2500yen and gift)
I'm not an old customer like >>8336028 but I make regular very high value orders so I assume they are doing me a favor as they want my custom. They've also brought things for me before without sending me the money request invoice beforehand.
I really like Japonica as a service and I like to do SS requests via email so it fits well with me as a customer, if you are a regular and reliable customer they will value your custom and I think they price themselves fairly. Maybe they are not the absolute cheapest but they are reliable and always treat my items carefully so I don't think I'll ever change SS.

Like I said, it's not okay for white people to say it, and also like I said, they've reclaimed it. I'm not making that up. I've studied a lot of First Nations art history and it's used often, especially among older contemporary artists. I think it's not as common among young people because they care more about educating white people.

I think Aboriginal is considered outdated. Also even when it was fine to use it, you could never use it by itself ie Aborigines or Aboriginals - always has to be Aboriginal People. A lot of First Nations people really don't give a shit if you call them Native or Aboriginal but more and more, especially in Arts and SJWism are offended by anything except First Nations.
