For those of you who have open orders with Chibi, what's her invoice time like now? I know she's really backed up, and I would like to have my order from her in two weeks. She should have all of my pieces by now, but how long is the invoice wait?

There's a new girl in my comm, she doesn't have anything yet but I'll be meeting up with her soon to sell a small item. Would it be rude to give her an organized list of 2nd hand/taobao stores where she can get a good grasp of where to buy without having to go all new brand right off the bat if she doesn't want?
I'm pretty sure she knows about taobao, but I've found some stores that I don't ever see posted about here. I'm meaning for it to be helpful because I know I would have liked to have a larger view/tutorial of how to get around and where to go.

If I were you, I'd ask if she wanted any help with second hand/taobao and proceed from there. I know as a newb, I would have liked it if someone knowledgeable had offered to walk me through finding an SS or vouched first hand for various indie brands. But it's best not to assume.

I bought something and just received it from her. It took about 2 weeks after the auction closed for her to invoice me. I sent her a message the day before, although I felt bad because I know she's busy. She updated me right away and invoiced me the next day.

Ummm... why did you feel the need to point that out? Do you not agree that she should've waited an extra day instead of badgering Chibi to rush their order? It's people like that who makes customer service a terrible experience for everyone else.

>> No.8416730

The reason they were invoiced the next day is because they sent the message...

>you're honestly a selfish piece of shit

I asked a simple question and it was politely answered. I'd like to make it clear to the person who responded that I wasn't someone throwing a hissy fit over being politely addressed.

And I do and don't agree. If you're badgering someone left and right for aback immediate invoice, then yeah, that's wrong, but there's no indication that anon did that. If send an email saying, "hey, I know you're busy, but if you have the possibility of doing this for me and are willing, then I greatly appreciate it, if not, then absolutely don't worry about it" then I don't see any problem. Meta isn't really a 'trendy' brand like Baby or AP, so you get a lot less people buying dresses because of the hype and then falling out of love with them. Forgive the dumb question, but do we know what prints are going to be in the LP? Like would they put in things from the Fortune Tarot or Lemonade series? Or is it older items? Like is there a time period of what goes into an LP or not, because I'm bouncing back and forth between buying the light LP or not.

>> No.8424221

Maybe it's because of the built in pannier? If that's the case, it should be detached and a regular petti worn under all for even pouf. That might solve this issue. I have a shorter (on me) AP JSK with this situation. That pannier is coming out! Easy enough to stitch it back in and explain the situation if I ever sold the piece. It wouldn't show at all from the outside if it were sewn back in.

Meta's LP skirts seem to be made from leftover fabric, they don't seem to actually put the regular release skirts into them. It's really hard to say what series has leftover fabric, though, since it's possible some of the fabric is not because a series did well, it might be that they restocked for a series and then had excess fabric.

There's no guarantee about anything in your skirt. For eg, a lot of girls got Magic Crayon skirt and socks from the same batch of LP, but some girls got floral skirts and non-border skirts of the bath print from the very same LP. And once, a particular Meta LP that had dark or light cutsews had people who ordered dark getting pastel cutsews and pastel skirts anyway.

Baby dresses don't have built-in panniers.

This pic looks more like she was twirling or turning around when the photo was taken, the heavier underskirt didn't "fly" as easily as the lighter dress. The ruffles on the edges of the dress and the end of the sleeve appears to be in motion and is blurry. Maybe it looks better when she's standing still.

Glad I could help. Personally I think Meta LPs are great for the blouses alone, unlike the skirts they come with price tags and seem to be regular release blouses that didn't sell well, so the detailing and quality on them is pretty good. I'm not sure how big they go, though, so I guess you might be better off going with a commissioned blouse if you're over 40cm in the shoulders.

The skirts themselves are also good if you're a daily lolita or into wearing lolita casually -- some Bodyline skirts cost more than $50, and while they have border prints the Meta skirts have better fabric and are more comfortable.

I clean mine out at least once a year, and you have to be brutal. I pull out every piece of clothing and sort all of it into 'keep' 'donate/throw' 'undecided'. Anything that I haven't worn lately and probably wouldn't wear soon gets donated. Same with items where I already have similar clothes because I don't really need so many things that look pretty much the same. It helps to make stuff feel less cluttered if you take out all of the completely unseasonably items and put them in a box somewhere. For example, in winter I live in jumpers and rotate through like 8 or 9 items of knitwear. That takes up a lot of space in my wardrobe so when summer comes I stick all my jumpers and woolly hats in a box apart from one or two light sweaters. Then when winter comes again and I see stuff for the first time in a few months, I can cast a more objective eye over it in seeing what's worn out and needs to go. I used to do my seasonal clearouts at the end of the season, rather than waiting til that season was about to start again, but that's actually a bad method. because I don't know in spring what my financial situation is going to be like in six months time, or whether the trends are going to be ones I like, so I can't tell how easy things will be to replace. In previous years I've ended up getting rid of slightly worn items assuming I'd be able to replace them, then found the trends that year were hideous and there was nothing I wanted to replace it with. Another time I culled summer workwear in autumn, then hit a financial bad patch and couldn't afford to buy new items, so I had to wear boots and long sleeves all next summer.
