I checked some prices on the new side and it somewhat feels like they marked up the yen now, too. In some cases the difference for me is very small BUT the unicorn dress is now 99$ instead of 133$. (Still more than the 80$ with the yen trick, tho.)

It probably means you've been hit by customs charges, sorry dude. I had the same thing happen to me, luckily it was the bare minimum fee because I asked for my package to be marked down, it was £11.06 in the end, which included the 'handling fee' of 8 quid.

General tip, packages that are worth more than the customs cut-off will very likely be picked up up by customs, it's even stricter than I remember in the past.

Any parcel assessed as being liable for Customs charges will also incur a Royal Mail handling fee of £8. Any goods imported into the UK over the value of £15 are liable to import VAT. Gifts between private individuals over the value of £36 are also liable for VAT.

Actually you're both right.

The 'Shoes' tag for items are the old cheaper ones. 'S' tag is the new price hike ones.

So once the cheaper ones are sold out, that's it. They got to the new price and stay there. If certain styles don't have a new 'S' tag listing then they're gone for good.

Either way, now's a good time to stock up because the price keeps getting lowered on the 'Shoes' tag ones.

Just thought I'd add a review. Picked up l188 'pik' in the 1000yen sale and I'm really happy with it. The sold out red version is by far the nicest colourway in my opinion but for the price, you can't really complain. The materials are decent and the lace is lovely, soft and made of cotton. The detachable bow is very large and whilst the construction is fine, I prefer how it looks without.

The thing that really struck me that wasn't apparent from the stock images, is just how versatile this jsk is. If you ignore the slightly odd (but not unpleasant) base pink shade and work with the other colours, there are plenty of options - it looks good with black, tan, off-white, cream/ivory, beige, teal blue and the various green shades depicted in the leaves. You could even make it work with wine red shades. Pretty much any tan/brown leather shades for accessories would work as well. As far as jsks go, I honestly don't think there are many that you could pair with either black or brown and make it work.

I'm probably going to make some minor modifications to it, such as pick up some decent quality thick satin ribbon in black and wine to use as waist ribbons depending on what colour scheme I'm using. I'm also probably going to alter the halterneck ties to make them regular straps, pretty easy to do even for a sewing novice like me.

All in all, It may not be the nicest bodyline jsk out there but it's definitely one of the better ones quality-wise and for the versatility alone, I think it makes a great budget addition to any lolita wardrobe.

The new sailor JSK I ordered has finally gotten here. Got the green and really like the deep green color it is. It's also made from a nice material that's a bit thicker than the print JSKs I have from them (has a heavier weight and you can't see through it), and has room for good poof. Think I'd rather wear this with a white neck ribbon tied into a bow though instead of the bow it came with.

Never mind the shitty edited out background and smudgy mirror. Also tried to edit the color to resemble the actual color better.

Prettyworks, jana song's store and Online Store 140309 on aliexpress all have dark long sleeve uniform sets, much nicer quality than bodyline. The material tends to be thicker without that cheap looking polyester sheen, which also makes it easier to find a separate long pleated skirt to wear with it. I love that print even if the red is too bright. I have the pink corset skirt and adore it even though I have plenty of indie and brand now. My favorite is the cameo skirt set (even if you have might have trouble balancing the gold, reddish pink and off white) It's comfortably lined, has a bit of built in petticoat, really comfy and the bonnet is a nice bonus.

I understand now why people always ask if it's Meta having found these pics online but tbh the Meta OP is disgusting (and I like Meta). Then I find out IW used the print for both that tiered (I believe it's IW) and non tiered JSK. Just a quick note, VM doesn't design many of their own prints. I think in all these years they've done maybe one jewellery design and a few pairs of tights. So if you see a similar fabric I'd usually assume it's commercially available fabric, not a replica.

I own that IW JSK and the print is similar but it's not a commercial fabric like the bodyline one. It's called "Trump Rose" a few differences are that the print has crowns and the IW logo throughout, it's also a corduroy fabric and not a cotton one. Maybe there was a commercial fabric made based on the Innocent World one? It's possible since the dress came out in 2006.

That's not entirely true, there's plenty of high/empire waist dresses that can fit a petti just fine. The trouble usually comes from where you wear the petti at because of shelving or looking pregnant, but they tend to be full enough for it at least most times.

Dropping another review. L018 in sax is also from the 1000yen sale. I wasn't sure if I liked it when I first took it out its packet as the colours looked quite different in person (not to mention it was rumpled as hell). The blue 'sax' shade was more of a bright sky blue colour compared to the almost mint looking sax in the stock image. The lace was also more of a white/ just off-white compared to the ivory/cream it appeared to be. Although the lace is very nice and there was a lot of material and nice ruffle details, I really thought it was too bright and cutesy for my tastes - the pink strawberries in the print were also super bright, almost hot pink.

I decided to take a gamble and try to mute the colours somewhat since I figured I wasn't going to keep it as it was. I put the skirt in a mild bleach bath and left it to soak for about ten minutes whilst continuing to swish it around. I then put it on a cold wash to rinse out all the bleach. Finally, I tea-stained it and then put back to wash on a cold cycle. I made some simple satin bows for it as well but they're pretty rough and need finishing properly.

With the alterations, I think it makes for a decent sweet-classic skirt with a generous amount of petticoat room. The materials alone are worth the 1000yen price in my opinion.

In my opinion, the following lolita items are probably worth picking up in the 1000yen sale (depending if they suit your style of course):

l018

l165 in red. Would make a cute oldschool btssb style coord with a bit of effort. Main material isn't brilliant but it's not too bad for polyester.

l342 in either colour. It's a cute skirt with decent lace reminiscent of Angelic Pretty. With a bit of styling know-how I think it could be really cute.

L056 in red (only colour left). Yeah so the sweet print on a classic type cut is a little awkward but it's workable. The materials are decent and I think it would work well in a country lolita somewhat oldschol coord - embellished straw hat, lace socks, that kinda thing.

l124 is kinda borderline for me. I think it would look best as part of an oldschool sweet type coord and if you think you can pull it off, then you should totally go for it. The lace is certainly decent.

I would say so, yes. It looks pretty small at first but when you loosen the ribbon ties up a bit it leaves you with a lot more room. I would actually recommend taking the ribbon out and then re-lacing it whilst it's on your body for the best possible fit. It may be a little snug if you're close to the max measurements however.

Speaking of coats I can highly recommend L460. It's gone up by 500 yen since I bought it in April but I still think it's worth the price, especially with free shipping.

The fabric is soft and super warm, the fur feels really nice and it's fully lined on the inside + the line of roses and the roses buttons are good quality.There's even pockets on the sides though the opening is over the flaps which is a odd design.

This dress looks pretty frumpy is person. The ribbon-threading lace (can't remember the proper name) looks and feels very cheap and scratchy. I took it all off, back and front, and took off the shiny ribbon on the bodice along with the topmost layer of lace there, and it looks a ton better. If you want to dry clean something at home on the cheap mix 2 parts water to 1 part vodka in a spray bottle ans spritz it on. It kills bacteria and deodorizes, but it doesn't remove stains.

Not that anon but I own them as well and they kinda kill my feet after a couple hours of wear. I'm not very used to high heeled shoes in general tho. After getting some shoe padding (idk the name, those pillow like inserts you stick to the shoes) on the front and they got quite better.
