I think the beginning of the most recent chapter where she's her less assholish alternate timeline self, and she asks you to MURDER her with no thought to what it would do to your life afterwards, made me hit the point of no return with Chole. i found the "death or suffering" choice at the start of ep 4 really difficult because it was asshole-ish but if i was in chloe's shoes i would ask the time. more politely worded maybe, but i guess she really was desperate to die painlessly rather than let her lungs kill her while she sits by in a wheelchair. i had to study motor-neurone disease and euthanasia so i see both sides.

i guess i like nathan because it's made clear that he has mental issues that are ignored by his family (the letter from his therapist is just discarded and he has stuff like risperidone and diazepam that are used to treat schizophrenia and anxiety, i believe) and i prefer to see "villian with backstory" rather than "villian who's bad just for the sake of it". i like that the developers are leaving stuff like medication names on labels so that you can find it and come to your own conclusions about characters, and while i'm definitely not excusing nathan's dick moves (not like the "OMGGG PROTECT PRESCOTT 2K15 PRECIOUS FLOWER CHILD uwu"-kinda people on tumblr - taking a photo of dead pompidou is irredeemable in my book) i feel as though he's being manipulated by parents/jefferson. i have a whole lotta theories on this but like i said, it's just theory. i'm torn between nate having a tiny little redemption story or him just ending up as even more of an asshole. i couldn't let warren beat him up either, i'm all for revenge violence but i wouldn't let warren stoop to that level, he's better than that. i don't know, man, i'm just irresistibly attracted to bad guys, it seems.

i'm not sure what you mean by this, have you completed episode 4? because he's the guy that shoots chloe, injects max with something, and then is shown in the ep 5 preview loading a syringe and walking closer to max's voice.............that's pretty sinister, idk. i'm guessing he's tied to the prescotts somehow. some people were throwing around "jefferson is sean prescott" but there's a photo of young nathan with sean in nate's room and prescott/jefferson look nothing alike (and sean looks too old to even be considered as jefferson, even in that 10-year-old-or-so picture). unused audio shows that nathan can see the same storm that max can, which would mean the prescotts are into the bunker-building business for a reason. of course, take the unused audio with a pinch of salt as there's probably reasons why it wasn't used. i can get links if you haven't already heard them.

I understand where you're coming from. I like Nathan and Victoria as well, not that I'd ever be friends with them & I think both of them have done some really shitty things, but Nathan is obviously on drugs and really implied to be manipulated by either his family, Jefferson, or both, and Victoria has a couple of small moments where she shows how scared she really is. She's just a teen girl trying to get through her life and making some shitty decisions and being a shitty person at times. In Ep 4 she even says she thinks Max is the coolest person at Blackwell, but they're just sorta "fated to not be friends" or something. I like their dynamic together. You can see at the end of Ep 3 when Max is "the cool kid!" how desperate Victoria is to stay in her good books. Not to mention the texts from her at the start of Ep 4.

Though I'm a big Kate/Max fan, I doubt Kate'll have an option at being with Max... But she's someone I'd loooove to get with Max. I never really liked Chloe - I can understand her in some ways, but in others I really don't want her to get Max hurt, or killed. The game is called "Life is Strange". It's a 5 part series available on steam, where you play as a girl called Max Caulfield who has the ability to reverse time. It's a "choices matter" type of game, except the choices, so far, genuinely do matter which is something I've rarely seen before.

The writing's really cringy, especially in Episode 1, but the storyline and the character development is A+. It's got a wonderful soundtrack, too.
