let's try this again.
Austrians and Swiss are welcome as well!

Con season is mostly over, how has it been? What cons are you already looking foward to?

Try keep the shit stirring to a minimum.

For the Lolitas:

Court of Fables has been founded. A assosiaction trying to help organisating meet ups and maybe more?
What do you think about it?

I have to admit I think it's great to have a site that lists all meetups for everyone to see, hopefully they'll get a link to each comms site, it would make it easier to join a comm.
Also they seem to make a local indie brand list. My hopes are high for this.

Tbh I was only once on a con, Dokomi 2011. Didn't go to any con after that, because I felt I was too much of a normie watching Anime (no interest in collecting/buying any merch nor doing cosplay/fashion stuff etc). The cringe that can be seen there and on Japantag every year are did their rest.

I miiight consider going there next year though since it is only ~30min away from where I live now and if I can manage to finish a proper cosplay until then. Not for any particiular reason, just for the lulz.

On the other hand I don't want to pay too much for entrance like AniMagic for said reason (normie in disguise). Was living for more than 18 yrs in Bonn, never been to AniMagic.

Hamburger here. We may come across as elitist or secluded but it's just that the interest in putting effort into creating (and attending) meets is low when you already have your small circle of lolita friends you rather meet up in private with. Generally, everyone is nice to each other (or silently polite) at meets but it's clear that everyone has their small group of people they prefer to hang out in the end.
Though many girls stick to each other, others try to interact with newbies, so nobody ends up alone (but it doesn't always work out). I'm personally not close with many girls from that comm and if there is any drama or shit talking, it takes place behind the curtains.

Also the vendetta between Hamburg and Berlin was long ago and it were mostly rumours anyway started by insecure newbies and jealousy of some girls who owned more brand at a time when owning more than a handful of brand items was rare. But that's literally ages ago, we have nothing against girls who wear offbrand or indie brands, as long as the outfit is good.
