I really hate how the /cgl/ feels thread are just the toilet of all things non-/cgl/. Either bitches complaining about their depression, abusive relationships and the fact they spent all their money on stupid shit and now can't afford to pay for their living expenses or pet's surgery. Throw in an occasional man trying to be special just by being a man on a predominantly female board and there's your fucking feels thread. I hate it. It's like fucking /r9k/ in these threads.

Another thing I hate about /cgl/ threads is when people come in to tell some longwinded grandma's tale and begin it with like "OK GUYS HOLD UP I NEED TO TELL YOU THIS I SWEAR THIS TRAUMATIZED ME FOR LIFE!!!", then it spans for like 10 chained posts, has a really hard-to-follow narrative and uses names "A, B and C" instead of just coherent made up ones and the payoff is nowhere worth waddling through that shit or the whole story is obviously either completely made up or grossly exaggerated.

It's not a huge deal, but it's pretty frustrating. If they hadn't decided to switch last minute I wouldn't have bought the costume, I would've made it myself for a different con.

It should have been more about "Frank" than the girl. But considering the author's relationship with her, it's understandable.

This is a clip from the article that was posted. I'm going to assume that very few people read this far:

Last night an anon came in and posted about how her childhood friend went nuts and turned into an insane prostitute. Her friend was dating/once engaged to Joshua Jackson. If that name sounds familiar, it's because Jackson was the guy who claimed the Fox dude from RWBY was based on him. Jackson has now been accused of forcing the girl into prostitution as well as dealing firearms out of a college in TX. He was arrested.

Same here. Every time I post anything in a con group, I get this random wave of guys trying to add me or message me. I usually ignore all of the requests simply because I just don't have the time to talk to a bunch of people that I don't know. It's crazy because I made a cosplay page just to prevent people from doing it and it STILL happens. I even had a photographer act like he as so interested in taking photos of one of my cosplays until I redirected him to my cosplay page and told him that I don't add strangers on my personal account.

Personally I don't mind people messaging me if they want to talk about cosplay or just have a friendly chat. But somehow 99% of the guys who message me end up hitting on me and then getting pissy and dropping all contact when I (politely!) reject them. Most of my non-cosplay photos have my wedding ring in them and all my pages link to my husband's pages, since he is also my photographer. You'd have to be pretty much blind to not realize I'm married. What do these guys expect? It's getting tiring to deal with this shit so I mostly ignore the guys who message me now and only reply to other women.

I was a fat insecure weeb and then I cocooned and lost the fat, but I also live on a farm, and hauling five gallon buckets several yards through the snow, numerous times a day all winter gave me bulkier arms then any of the guys I work with and I already had broad shoulders. Years and years ago I took a fitness class in high school and we did parts of some of the videos.

They are intensive and you need a bunch of equipment (non-slip exercise mat, resistance bands, some things are more optional like a yoga block etc.). Even the guy himself says that if you're a beginner you should do the Beach Body program, and do P90X if you finish that one.

If you're a total potato now I don't recommend it. You're gonna burn yourself out really quickly. If you already exercise regularly and want to ramp it up, go for it.

For programs that ease you in a bit more, try stuff from Darebee. No videos, but pdf guides and lots of other advice like recipes too.

If you're prone to slacking and then try to pace yourself to build yourself up, you won't end up challenging yourself at the right pace. It's better to do a program that eases you in, and do all of it, than start with an intense workout, collapse after ten minutes, and think to yourself, "well it is a hard program so that should be good right??" worse yet, dreading having to work out because you can't handle the routines yet.

Starting to feel... really burnt out from conventions. I don't really have friends to hang out with whenever I go to them. I seem to have a lot of acquaintances who have their own cosplay groups and whenever I talk to them they always ditch me for their other friends. I'm pretty socially awkward and I guess I actually don't have a lot of fandoms. I maybe watch less than 10 different anime every year and I'm never up to date with whatever shows are trendy. Now I'm thinking I'll only go to cons if I know for sure I'll meet up with someone I know because else I just end up feeling like shit the whole time. I could make new friends, but the shows I'm into are always things that were popular either a decade ago or have more of small fandom.
