Current thread is an embarrassment.

Last time on Lolita General:

>RoseMarie Seior and why they're invited to brand events
>Favourite lolita models

If you're talking about The Tea Party Club and Street Fashion Europe when you ask why RoseMarie Seoir get invited to lolita events, it's because Ayumi has a good relationship with the organisers. Plus she's really sweet in person and a lot of these events are officially jfash-related events and have other non-lolita vendors (e.g. TPC had a vendor selling plushies last year and SFE has fairy kei vendors).

I don't like RoseMarie Seoir either but their stuff is popular - they only take up one vendor table and sells a ton of stuff every year so it wouldn't make economic sense for them to drop her. Sometimes I wonder if Ayumi pays her own expenses, she shows up so often.

When did this even become a thing?
There is no rule a generel has to include anything like that. I remember last year people were linking many other threads like the BST or Taobao thread in the OP and people complained when this was forgotten. But this practice didn't last long and the bullshit summary thing will also be soon forgotten. At least linking other threads made sense, but who needs a fucking summary. New thread, new rules.

I have very wideset hips (every woman on my mum's side does) and honestly, my waist was probably about 70ishcm when I was at a good weight.
But yeah, everybody carries weight differently and it's ridiculous to assign one perfect measurement for the variety of body types out there.

I get so embarrassed when people angrily complain about fit on either end of the spectrum as if the brand is 3v1l and excluding them on purpose. Either brands hate fattychans or they cater to fattychans too much with sack dresses and poorly done shirring. Also it's irritating when relatively new people complain like you haven't even tried to make anything work for you. It just makes us all look like entitled foreigners who are only interested in consuming without putting in work or appreciating the work put into it.

And I agree that not many will buy this VM skirt.

I will never understand this sense of entitlement. Foreigners aren't brands' target demographic, and foreigners who significantly deviate from their standard sizing even less so. We shouldn't expect them to bend over backwards to cater to us when we only make up a small percentage of people who buy from them. Victorian Maiden especially when you consider that they don't even ship directly overseas.

I'm 5'11 but I don't complain to brands about them making everything too short because I know that the vast majority of lolitas aren't 5'11. But my wardrobe is still mostly brand because I take the time to find long releases and get stuff professionally altered.
