Facial shape and skin looks like melting plastic, there are no shadows to suggest natural facial features. Basic knowledge of makeup and editing photos usually helps.

I also highly recommend you download the Meitu app and play around with its facial editing features. That was actually the fastest way for me to learn how people shoop, and now I can even pick out really minimal shooping.

Why would someone be jealous of someone who can only achieve a look through editing severe enough that they no longer look like themselves? I'm not part of this discussion and agree that editing for cosplay photography is fine if it makes them look more like the character, but calling someone jealous in this context doesn't make sense. See, for one, most of these girls do look like themselves though, just retouched. They're still able to be recognized. Some people cosplay as a casual hobby, and that's fine, but others treat their work and resulting photos as art. That's also fine.
