The FB groups are literally filled with people getting their panties in a twist over nothing.
Someone got banned from the official group for calling someone else a dingleberry, someone else called the scene where Kimi kisses Reid a "rape scene" (this post got deleted iirc), there was a riot about whether DDLG associations should be allowed in the game and whether people should be allowed to post about it in the official group, people screeching at devs on the LN page for not adding new items fast enough and then screeching at them when they do add new items...

Every fandom has it's terrible part, but somehow the Facebook fandom for mobile games always seems to be the most vocal and terrible.

Yeah that was my guess too. My look probably gained traction early because it was a bit different but then others cottoned on to it and it stopped being different and I sunk down the ranks again.

I wish they'd choose less simplistic/obvious words for describing the theme though. Or at least that the community appreciated less orthodox ways of responding to them. The last 3 we had Nocturnal Assassin (bring a sword/dagger), Praise the Sun (be blonde and wear a gold dress), and now Splendid Spring Flowers (wear a spring dress and put flowers everywhere you can). I feel like people are too literal with all of this.

It needs pavilion drops to be completed, so it's only worth it if you have those already, or get them from free draws.

Can someone explain the different ways to spend money and their benefits to me please? I haven't spent money before but there's a cumulative recharge event coming up and I'm interested in making a one-off purchase that is of the most value.

Are recharging, the users shop, and V levels all separate purchases? There are benefits to the different V levels, what is the least amount of money I have to spend to get the most benefit? Is there any way to combine that to get the benefit of the upcoming cumulative recharge event?

The user shop and daily time-limited packs are their own thing, the V levels shop and recharging purchases are the same.

The amounts spent to up your V levels increase exponentially but the most useful thing is unlocking 'Done 10' at V4 imo.
V1-V4 costs 10, 100, 300 and 500 respectively. The smallest pack is 100 diamonds so you get V1 and V2 automatically. 5$ pack doesn't give you anything more so unless you're just in it for the diamonds, not worth. Buying a single 10$/550 diamond pack can get you V4 and with double recharge it gives you 1100 diamonds. Each recharge gives you all the previous reward tiers too so that's my reasoning for 10$ pack being most worth for a one-off purchase.

If you want stuff other than diamonds the daily packs aren't bad since they give a ton of extras with 400%+ value ones but I think they give less V points.

Your V level goes up as you get VIP xp. Recharging normally nets VIP experience equal to the amount of diamonds you buy (your first recharge in each tier is double diamonds, but that doesn't affect vip xp)
Any other part of the game worth VIP xp will tell you how much you will get.

Personally, I think getting yourself a monthly card is the most bang for your buck. The monthly card gets you 60 diamonds a day for 30 days. You can get a monthly card by either recharging the 5USD tier or you may see it in a time limited pack.

Although >>9700181 makes a good point with the 'Done 10' feature. I think the ultimate thing you could do is luck out and get the monthly card + 260 vip xp + 520 diamonds + etc pack to show up during the recharge event and then also buy the 4.99 tier recharge. You would get 1040 diamonds up front and then 60 days of 60 diamonds a day. That's 4640 diamonds total. AND that would get you 520 VIP xp bringing you to V4. Also that would all be for $9.98.

Monthly card is just a thing that comes with certain purchases. What it does is simply give you 60 diamonds a day for a month. If you buy two it will just add on another 30 days.

Anyhow, the $20 tier would get you 1200 VIP XP. You would also need the $10 (550vip xp) tier on top of that.
The minimum I see that you could spend to get all cumulative recharge sets is $26 if you bought the stamina and starlight packs from the user shop. That would get you 2000 vip xp and bring you to V6, but you wouldn't any diamonds (aside from the gifts for reach that V level)

The short answer is no, money isn't a requirement at all.

The game does everything it can to bait you into buying something, but it doesn't necessarily stop you from playing for free. I was in the same boat as you where I didn't want to end up playing a game that wouldn't let me do a single thing of significance if I didn't drop cash on it, but Love Nikki is pretty generous, at least compared to some other games like LINE Play.

It has the "stamina" system where you can play as many stages as you like until it runs out and then you need to wait for it to recharge, but if you forget the game for like 4 hours and then come back it's barely an issue.

I'm a very patient person and only spent a single dollar earned from Google Opinions on the game after playing for about a month if not a little more. I don't feel super inclined to collect every item in every event that I possibly can, even if it's something that I wanted. There's a ton of different ways to earn clothes and most clothes are actually quite nice, even when they're pretty simple.

I guess it just depends on how well you handle temptation in the end.

You would need the Sword Girl, Textile Leggings, and Ink Riding Boots items to not immediately get an F. I tested it out right now and using only these three items and a low level hair I was able to get an S (picture is from the maiden level since I ran out of tries on the princess level). I think a less is more approach would help get an S on this stage since I also tested out a more ott outfit and got an F from items that fit the tags shown on the guide.
