So you started the new general with it? Really? Now we're going to have to look at this shit in the catalog all the time until this thread dies. I get posting the pics in a thread since they are kinda relevant, but many lolitas won't give a shit. It was a bad OP choice.

I'm not defending this hideous fucking outfit, but I fail to see how it could be considered 'nymphet' fashion? She's wearing a frumpy Chinese mumu with bargain bin socks and an old pair of track shoes. Her makeup and the stuffed animal may be a part of 'nymphet' style, but you can find both of those things throughout lolita. I suppose If you're just taking into account the knee (strangling) socks and high school running shoes, you could get an 'other lolita' vibe from this but I think it's a huge reach to say it looks like 'ddlg'.

Anyways, If this was worn by anyone besides a Japanese model it would make an immediate appearance in the ita thread. Also count me in as being triggered as fuck by seeing Kumya being held like that.

Watch youtube tutorials on colour analysis, make-up and hair. Do the make-up and hair tutorials of jfashion magazines. Keep it simple by wearing normie skirts/dresses in pink if you plan to wear sweet lolita, in black if you plan to wear wear gothic lolita, or in brown if you plan to wear classic lolita. Especially with sweet lolita, it's already unusual for adults to wear pastels so this way your surroundings can slowly get used to your more feminine style. Wear neutral tights and shoes.

I'm in the same boat as this person; I barely own any brand and I enjoy handmaking my own coords, and I'm plus sized, so what I make tends to look better on me than actual brand pieces. However, if the mod for the party wants to see the coord ahead of the party, I would just send it, not give her the runaround and excuses. If your homemade stuff looks good, you have nothing to worry about. I saw an Aussie tea party on YouTube once where one of Misako-chan's fav coords was a homemade. So it's fine to be homemade, as long as it holds up to everyone else's coords.

Dollbe is doing a contest on instagram. I Don't know much about the quality of her pieces, but I spoke with her in person once and she seems really committed to the idea of making sure the fit of all her made-to-order pieces is accurate to the customer.
Figured I'd mention this in case anyone here would like the chance to try her stuff out for free (if you're the winner of the contest). I know I have some fit issues, so the idea of something that's both free and custom fit sounds tempting, even if the quality isn't the best.

>> No.9856588

Her artwork is always so awful and weirdly skewed though, and the clothing design is questionable (though it seems sturdy enough).

I wouldn't want to wear anything by her, free or not, until she learns how to make a proper print (or quits doing prints and does solids)

Several indie designers and taobao offer custom sizing so if that's the only reason you're interested, just save your money and get something from someone that isn't going to look bad.

For someone who wants to make dresses for bigger girls and for someone who wants to make sure the type fits the customer well, she sure has chosen a type of dress that doesn’t suit most plus-size girls well. As soon as you have breasts, like most plus-size girls do, high-waist dresses look aweful on you in my opinion. Same goes for tall and chubby, I think the fit of the girl in the drawing is already an example of that. The shape looks so off.

I think >>9856613 is onto something. The problem I think is plus-size waists can come in a lot of different shapes, like literally different shapes. Two girls could both be overweight in the same amount, but one might be carrying it all on her stomach and the other has it all in her hips and chest area. I knew a 300lb woman who had a 36" waist, so any jacket that could fit her arms and boobs was too big for her waist.

I would love to work with wood, but sadly I don't have a great workspace for that. And I imagine sawdust would end up everywhere. At least with glitter I don't have to worry about splinters! I both love and hate the sparkly cancer. But to answer your questions, just about everything in my shop is made via resin.

Sorry, my dude. Temp promo sort of ended when I put the listing up a couple days later. I could toss in a defect with your order, tho. They're still pretty okay looking, but the CGL font on the pastel was a weird colour, there are no scrolls at the bottom, and the pin is bigger than expected. (6x6 instead of 5x5cm)

Also, wew. I've already sold more of these than expected to. I have to make more tonight.

Anyone else notice the new IW White items on reservation? I feel like I'm late to the party. Looks like the skirt a few girls were wearing on CoF is up, a JSK, and a blouse.

The skirt looks like such a cheap version of the Flare Skirt with Braids, but I guess it's cute enough for casual wear, but I'm rather unimpressed for the price. The JSK looks pretty decent, lining at the hem is a bit simple and cheap, though it looks like they're trying to pull off a Vilma OP look with the model. Blouse looks really nice and simple in a good way, RIP that I didn't notice it sooner as it's almost all sold out. They did restocks for some IW White items that sold out in preorder last time, maybe again for this blouse...

(Saying all this as someone who has bought a wide variety of IW for years, and I bought the initial bustier + skirt from White and liked them.)

I am so mixed on this. On one hand, I like the pricing and simple design, but on the other hand, would it kill them to put one line of lace at the ends of the jabot for the blouse? Lolita for me is all about the small details. One of my favorite dresses is a simple cutsew dress with beautiful lace at the turtleneck. It's small things like these that make my day. IW white is almost there, but the cheap trimmings and lack of beautiful detail is really killing me.

I saw these, none of them appeal to my taste but I'm glad to see IWW releasing more than one design at once, especially since they sell out. I'm looking forward to see what they're going to release next.

I hate how IW (and other brands like VM also) only doing OP's and Underbust JSKs these days. They are still using simple JSK cuts for prints. I just want some solid or floral pattern JSKs which satisfy my casual granny taste though.

I'm excited about the new event, always wanted to go to a lolita event in Germany. I'm surprised they didn't choose for Germany earlier. Still I 'm not sure about it anymore, since they announced their new event page at the same day as the moitie event ticket sale and sfe events get smaller every year. And the other colourway. Matching bow clips are also available.

I think this series would make great everyday wear for daily lolitas. It looks comfy, like you can just pull it on and be cute. As usual I love Meta's darker and more saturated colour choices than other sweet brands. But... It's also a little boring, don't you think?

I don't think it's boring, simple designs really are easier to wear daily and can be dressed up to look fancier; but personally I would've liked this more if there was a solid version, I'm not a huge fan of polkadots.

It was totally unnecessary to make a post 10 days before when they announced “in 10 days we will announce the new event“, then creating a Facebook event for 10 days, then posting pictures from old events every day, then make a post after 10 days “today we will announce more“, then make a post with pictures “can you guess where the event is“, and then ONLY reveal the country of the event, not even the date yet???
