Its been a while since we've had these threads /guls/.
Whats been your general experience with maid cafes?
Can con cafes ever rival the original?
What are some decent traviling/con cafes and what are the qualities that make a good con cafe?
Have you ever had experince working at a con cafe and if you have what has your overall exeperince been?

What should be the basic requirements for a maid cafe?
And if people wanna work w or form their own maid group wheres a good place to look for uniform?

I was recently thinking about this kind of thread, especially since I recently got into going to maid cafes.
>Whats been your general experience with maid cafes?
it's been pretty good so far, I got to really interact with the maids and butlers and the food always looks so cute (plus it taste great). Everytime I see a maid perform Im reminded of why I love seeing them. I heard that a maid cafe recently opened in the town where I live but I'm not that excited to go and see them.
>Can con cafes ever rival the original?
I don't see much of a rivalry with maid cafes and con cafes, all I see is people picking their preferences which is fine.
>Have you ever had experince working at a con cafe and if you have what has your overall exeperince been?
I havent but I want to
>What should be the basic requirements for a maid cafe?
To have an understanding of what maid cafes are all about and to at least experience visiting one cafe. Also to be able to interact with customers.

Does anyone have any recommendations of maid cafes to check out? Like on their social media

>> No.9878124

>basic requirements

No fat bitches.
If you have autism, it better be high-functioning.
No uggos: if a man would rate you as anything less than a 6/10, you don't belong in a maid cafe.
Being Asian not required, but obviously preferred.
Applicants should be screened for personality: if you're boring, stuck up, full of yourself, or completely lack humor, you don't belong in a maid cafe.

Hmmm.
I should have clarified what I mean by "fat".
If you're more than a little overweight, like say, more than 35 lbs. overweight, then you shouldn't be in a maid cafe. A little chub, a little meat on the bone is fine, but it needs to be understand that there's a difference between dem curves and just being fucking obese.

The girls in your pic are cute as fuck (especially the girl on the far left) and would be strongly considered (I honestly have a soft spot for chubby Asians).

Why is it with these threads the fat girls always inevitably come out of the woodwork to project all their fat insecurities? ‘BUT A LITTLE FAT IS OKAY RIGHT//?’

First off, if you have to ask and you’re on 4chan, you’re probably not a ‘little’ fat.

Second of all, there’s no such thing as a ‘little’ fat.

You’re fat, or you’re not.

Lose weight. You have a metric fuck tonne of free apps to count your calories and it’s not illegal for you to waddle your ass outside to go for a walk every now and then.

Other than creepy fat fetishists, no one is looking at you and thinking ‘oh it’s a little fat’ no, they’re thinking ‘it’s fat.’

Tried to find some images that represented a very cute and constantly improving maid café. They most definitely have their flaws which I think they should work on, although I would also like them to recieve some more recognition. Who knows, perhaps that would make them realise that they've achieved the cute level, and should now focus on serving customers better and such. <3

I know of other Dutch maid cafés, yet deem this one to be the cutest. In terms of service, most cafés are on the same level. However, I would say NNN is improving, as they are expanding their menu. It is simply so that basics are lacking in most cafés. For instance, tables aren't being cleaned, maids do not give you maid attention as is usual, there is but one chef, so the orders get messed up, some maids are doing nothing when a lot can be done, etc. Nonetheless, NNN also has maids that perform, games and the cutest maids of all of the cafés. That is why I hope they can look past the aesthetic bit and focus more on what is necessary :- )

Con cafes can never be good because of afew things that all tie together

1) lacking food quality. Can't be helped because of contracts not allowing food most of the time plus there's nowhere to cook
2) they're rushed. There's no time to really do anything because the time periods are short
3) the staff are not dedicated to it. The staff might work just once out of the year and they aren't paid so there is no incentive to actually be good or improve

I worked at one for a while, it kind of sucked lol.

>Can con cafes ever rival the original?
Nope, It's just not the same. Something is always gonna be off, be it management, the setting, the food, or the maids. Usually all of them are off.

>What are some decent traveling/con cafes and what are the qualities that make a good con cafe?
I quite liked Ai My Maid! What makes a good con cafe is cute maids, cohesive themes and outfits, and somewhat decent food/drink. Some experience in serving and good management is always a plus too.

>Have you ever had experience working at a con cafe and if you have what has your overall experience been?
There was a lot of drama behind the scenes which annoying to deal with. Working was fine, apart from one of our events where the con was dead so like we had max 6 people all day. Also a lot of weird flirting from weebs and kind of obsessive fans of the cafe. Other than that the photoshoots were fun, and the outfits were cute to wear!

But the cafe specifically, extremely overpriced for what you get. All of the maids have debilitating autism, and are also underage and have no customer service or food handling experience. The saftey and cleanliness standards of handling food was honestly disgusting, and I absolutely would never eat food served at a convention run cafe after that experience. It's only worth a visit if youre desperate for material for your next cringe compilation video.

I have caps of batty’s tantrum when the owner of the con told her they where no longer needed. But I don’t feel like dealing with waiting for a ban to release since batty gets all sorts of panties in a twist when she’s not protreyed well. You can find them in the archives here >>/cgl/thread/S9221667#p9222263

The ghist of it was Batty had this fantasy that people attended the con entirely because they liked the cafe. But reality, it was just food in a con which was why people went to the cafe. No one bought tickets for the con just to go to that cafe.

Ever since then, batty kinda became more and more of a recluse from the outside world minus the few things she’s done with some of the other e-fame monsters. The cafe has flopped, batty said she was done and focused on something that didn’t involve contracts. As a person, she’s just a cunt. I think that same archive has caps of it as well.

To be honest, while her response was completely unprofessional, that is bullshit. They did have recognition (people are still asking about AYS so many years later) and they did have the experience of working that con for years. I don't understand why the con would decide to throw away a partnership with them to test the waters with a newbie cafe?
Unless I'm missing something here?

The con was trying to get rid of the cafe and much of the things associated with anime that year because Saboten con was taking off. Since PCC was more a comic and pop culture con, they wanted to push the Japanese culture and anime stuff out due to Saboten con gaining some steam with Japanese culture. Batty could have kept the cafe with Saboten con but she decided she was done. It was stressful dealing with the food, I get that, but the way Batty handles herself on a professional level is poor. She was giving up on the cafe for a while. This couldn’t have come at a better time for her because she was tired of it any way. But what better way to stop doing it without playing the “ I’m getting replaced” card? It gives her the image that she doesn’t want to stop but gives her the okay to end it so she can work on something else. One thing about batty is she knows how to minupulate people to get attention and deflect the negative image from herself into others. She’s very skilled at that. She’s does some very good damage control about her image. It’s why it’s very hard to post caps and proof of her when you claim something.

Idea for a maid cafe type of deal

>Pay for a membership
>Once a week the maids host a members only dinner complete with actual chefs and service
>Maids are paid hourly and don't have to work for tips
>Members RSVP in advance to attend so food procured and prepped is relative to RSVPs
>Live music (monthly?), games, video games, shows and film, etc
>Maids required to have actual skills in service or be willing to be trained in good service

I'm not sure if there should or shouldn't be alcohol. I don't want this to be a sexual thing at the club itself (i.e. dudes coming expecting to get their rocks off at whores like a strip club), but I feel like in a more controlled environment , it could be possible. If some maid decides she likes a guy there that's her business desu.

Any ideas to go off of my idea?

This is the second year this con had a maid cafe and the first year it was an utter mess. They tried to serve spaghetti noodles as "ramen" and the service was so bad. There was supposedly so much drama behind the scenes that a bunch of the maids rage quit. There were rumors going around last year that the head maid wanted to try and do a more raunchy +18 maid cafe but the con wouldn't give them the funding. Thank God for that.

In one article way back in 2017 someone made to try to tie maid cafes to the JK bussiness/culture on of the things that weirded out the author is the length of the maids dresses at @homes. What do you think gulls is @homes made dresses to short?

Can’t tell entirely but personally if the tops of your thighs are visible when you bend over then your dress is too short. These look dangerously close to that but that’s also a personal preference and will depend on the rules the owner makes I suppose. My local cafe has a rule of it reaching at or below a third of the way up your thigh.

I went and thumbed through some of their pictures and this girl just doesn't stand out compared to the others. I'd probably get bored being served by her.

The picture in question looks like its been filtered/shopped a bunch, and I don't think it would have hurt her to do more with her top lip because it looks like its disappearing, offering up a more masculine look, so I get where they're coming from. For the Valentine's event she had a lovely colour which prevented it from happening.

The reason for me preferring NNN over SPP is:

Sparkling Potpourri has been around for a long time, I believe for much longer than Neko Neko Ni, although I could be incorrect. However, in that timespan, NNN has improved much more than SPP, which is a pity. For instance, have a look at the food. Between 2016 and 2017, NNN has improved their menu greatly, although I am not very happy in regards to the pricing, haha. However, SPP still appears to be mediocre. Furthermore, what has been mentioned before regarding the cuteness of the café is very prominent. I will agree that NNN contains maids that aren't as cute as could/should be, yet the ratio is much better as opposed to the ration with SPP. It also seems that SPP has ceased to be active, whereas NNN makes sure to constantly update and show themselves. This does not imply that I think NNN is perfect. I have a lot to comment on their service, and desperately hope they work on this, as well as the drama that seems to be present. Nonetheless, they are developing better than SPP if you'd ask me.

NNN has a lot to improve on, yet appears to be actively working on that as well, although I cannot deny that it is the cuteness that appeals to me, ahah. SPP has lost it's relevance, has improved little and remained mediocre, in my opinion. Yet I am glad to have my mind changed.

Also, I just really think the way SPP takes pictures with customers looks very awkward. For pictures to support what I stated before, see pic related. In case you'd like to see more pictures for some of the arguments I've made, you can check out their FB-pages, or I can make another collage. :- ) (I had to lessen the quality to post it here. Sorry for that)

(1/2)

First of all, I would like to comment that I appreciate the doodles SPP makes on their pictures. It is very similar to how real maid-cafés do this, and I am quite pleased about how both NNN and SPP perform on this topic. (Although I do like NNN's pictures a tad bit better, seeing as they have actual polaroids, haha. But this is OT, both are good!)

What I've noticed with the pictures taken by SPP is that it looks incredibly uncomfortable. There doesn't seem to be much activity between the customers and the maids. Nay, it seems more as if the maids pose and the customers slid in. I think they could improve by choosing for a smaller format (such as a polaroid photograph), which literally forces the models to come closer together, and creates a more personal vibe.

However, I know they like to paste their images online, so a smaller format is probably not ideal. Thus, I'd recommend them to quit taking images whilst seated. Perhaps they've already decided on this, for it would help immensly. In the image dropped in my previous post, one can see how awkward the models look whilst seated. There is no sense of "intimacy" or "comfort". I think it could also help for the maids to use props, as is done in actual maid cafés. This also gives the picture more of a direction: it ties the image together, and provides dynamic, for the props can work inspiring in terms of posing.

It also seems as if the pictures aren't taken by somebody, yet on a stand. I can understand that this is necessary due to a lack of employees. However, when a person takes the picture, one does not have the awkward angle as is present in the first picture BL in my previous collage (unless the photographer is utterly terrible ; w ;). Like this, the angle could be adjusted, flattering people more. It just looks extremely awkward to look down like that, to me.

I am very sorry for this strange feedback. I am not a photographer, and know very little on composition, so I think that looking

at proper aid on composition and photography can do much more than whatever I said, haha.

I am also very glad that you liked it, because I was slightly afraid of offending anybody. I like both cafés, yet am I greater fan of NNN is all. Thank you for understanding..!

(I also added dates to the images, so you can see how the maid cafés look in comparison to one another in terms of development by year. SPP has no images of 2018 which I could find, so I did not compare pictures of 2018 from NNN either. Also, here's a picture of the NNN maids being adorable..!)

Going from this picture >>9878136 because the other one just seemed to confuse people.

I like the overall look of the girl to the right of Khao with purple bows. She's got that cozy girl-next-door look and is smiling with her eyes. I wouldn't write off the butlers either.

The thing is, if they had more girls similar to Khao it'd be more balanced. Most of them seem to go for the the weirder anime trope personalities which make me want to curl up under the table from embarrassment and it makes Khao stand out by being the only one with a neutral personality - not necessarily in a good way.

So that being said I like the archetype that Khao is presenting (more classical) I just wouldn't go for her visually. I'd probably feel intimidated by her, whereas the girl with the purple bows looks bubbly, but not OTT.

Does that make sense?

Bunch of us came in happy and ready to have fun and the maids just sat around ignoring us, heard one of them say "I don't want to be here" really loud and when we asked if they were going to play any games with us we got "oh, we didn't plan anything, we're busy talking"

Bitch Cafe is more like it

Why even have a maid cafe at all lmao?

I can't tell how much they improved their service recently, since I haven't been to Dutch conventions for the past 1-2 years. But when it comes to the overall appearance and service I really enjoyed SPP the most, even after the competition from other cafes. If it's true what you say about NNN improving so much, I'll try to visit it again to see if my opion can be redeformed. As for the maids, I think both cafes have cute girls and more average looking girls. But NNN has more young cute Asian girls, so I guess if people like those type of looks they would choose NNN. But I don't particularly have a bias for that. And I have respect for those SPP maids who have stuck around for literally 10 years now. I wonder how long the maids in NNN will stick around. Also, since the owner of NNN makes an issue out of age, I hope he's not gonna do some asshole move of kicking out anyone when they get over a certain age.

Is it normal for Maid Cafes at Cons not to charge for entry tickets to the cafe?

Was at a fairly big con in Germany, with a fairly popular Maid Cafe and the way they handle tickets is just ridiculous imho

> signup for a raffle to win a ticket
If you don't, enjoy waiting in line for hours for a chance to get a ticket (on both days the tickets were gone when there were still tons of people in line, that had waited for hours).

And even if you have a ticket, enjoy waiting thirty minutes to an hour to actually get in as the schedule is always fucked up.

This entire problem could be solved by simply putting a price tag on the whole experience.

Fair number of people would be put off by that already - and should that not help in making things better then just raise the price as much as necessary to reduce the amount of guests.

I mean, you already need to pay for cakes and drinks IN the cafe? So it is not like they are a charity that does everything for free?

Is not having to purchase tickets common for maid cafes at cons?

>> No.9888615

Bubblegum daiquiri's are my jam whenever I go to TGI's (dubbed amongst my friends as 'The D.Va drink') a lot of their drinks menu is pretty cool visually and I'm sure someone out there on the internet will have recipes for them if you wanted to recreate them - they even have mocktails which taste great.

>> No.9888672

The ones I frequent work two ways:

Option #1: There are general entry tickets. You buy a ticket ahead of time before con and sign up for a time slot. Everyone else gets remaining tickets at con to purchase and you hope for a free time slot then. The ticket gets you a choice in drink and possibly a choice in a food item, depending on what's in stock at the time. This way the staff don't handle any money themselves.

Option #2: There are no entry tickets. You go to the maid cafe and purchase food/drink tickets instead and then are seated when possible. You give your maid your ticket and they go get your items. This is usually for more extensive cafes that offer multiple drinks and actual food instead of just prebought/premade desserts.

I wish I could say the same thing! Past times when SPP was at a convention, both appearance as service were quite bad. However, I haven't been to Dutch conventions for the same period either. Only to small scale events and the NNN-café itself.

I would highly recommend a visit! Yet please note; I mentioned their improvement simply to illustrate how much they improved in a certain amount of time, as opposed to SPP. And I also cannot stress enough that their horeca-skills should most definitely be the next on their improvement list (my previous visit wasn't the best...). Yet their overall growth is looking positive to me, and I hope you get the chance to experience it!

About the appearance of the maids... Both cafés indeed have good looking girls. However, the maids of SPP appear quite mature, even in maid uniform, whereas most of the maids at NNN, whether they're Asian or not, seem to succeed in capturing the cute, young, bubbly look. (I am aware of the fact that this has not always been the case.) To me, a cute, young, innocent appearance is vital to a maid café, and although the girls at NNN do not all own these trademarks, the overall look succeeds at a greater rate than at SPP.

Indeed, as do I share the respect, especially since many people tend to lose interest after one or two years. And I can imagine you wondering about that, as do I. For up till now, it hasn't appeared to be a very long time on average... (;へ:)

In regards to the previous recruitement of maids at NNN, many of those whom were interested had the same worries; would they be too old for the café? The café responded by saying that the age limit is merely a guideline, since the job isn't very stable, and many people after the age of 22 are looking for a full-time job, or something to fund their career, as opposed to a flimsy, part-time "summer" job. I think this is quite considerate, and makes quite some sense, although it could be stated slightly clearer.

In general, I will not disregard the scepticism regarding the preferences of "the manager" as a whole... (ૢ•᷄⊱•᷅ ╬)

...maybe the maids will not want to work there for so long, since the manager is sometimes labeled as a pervert..? Although I like the café a lot, as one can see from my previous posts, I can definitely relate to the criticism as well. I suppose this makes sense, as I just want the best for them, so I see their problems only as things to be acknowledged and dealt with! sorry for saying this so much, but I really do not want people to think I am blindly supporting the café's every move... I just think that the mistakes they've made can only help them! or, if the development begins to stagnate, become their end...

sorry...

>Whats been your general experience with maid cafes?

Great for outside the us for pop-up/official business
There's a lot of them, but I tend to find the best are polished simple cafes or a fun themed one.

Can con cafes ever rival the original?
No. It's been answered thoroughly in other threads. Between food handling license, the cost of a good costume, decor, etc it's too much for something like a con.

What are some decent traviling/con cafes and what are the qualities that make a good con cafe?

I've yet to meet a decent traveling cafe, the only nice one I can think of is some in the UK like MOE.

Have you ever had experince working at a con cafe and if you have what has your overall exeperince been?

I worked at a maid cafe for a few years in Japan, my overall experience was that it was a really fun job for side money. The customers were always nice but it got to my after a while. One guy was there pretty much every day after work, he was sweet but the level of loneliness was depressing.

What should be the basic requirements for a maid cafe?

Besides the obvious of having good social/service skills.Know how to take care of yourself. Styling and makeup, actually knowing what looks good on you. I think a certain level of improv/acting skill would be needed if your maid cafe are going to have different character types.

And if people wanna work w or form their own maid group wheres a good place to look for uniform?

This shouldn't even be spoon fed desu. You don't know how to sew and tailor for all body types don't bother making it yourself. At least if you're serious about your cafe like a pop-up. Go to a seamstress and spend the money to get it made nicely. Buying a good maid costume from popular maid brands will cost you as much as shopping for lolita, more if it's limited addition. To be frank if someone was serious about getting a good costume they would have found the good brands.

MOE events are really worth going to if you’re into maid cafes! I’ve been to 4 maid cafes in Japan (and a few in Taiwan, Philippines and China). MOE is really similar to some maid cafes Japan. They do the food love spells, have cute food like omu-rice and they sing in Japanese too. I don’t think them acting like characters is cringe either. I find it really entertaining. It really feels like the maids and butlers actually care about you which feels really nice! They really give you attention and make sure you’re not alone.
All in all, it’s a great maid cafe experience and totally worth it if you’re into that sort of thing.

Your logic in this is flawed to begin with. Hooters (never heard of Showmes) was marketed from the beginning with sexual intention. You go there expecting big breasts and short-shorts, it's what they're marketed for.

Maid cafes are different. They're not scantily clad, they don't market themselves as a sexual business, and maids don't humor your sexual behavior. You go to any maid cafe and make blatantly sexual remarks and you get shown the door.

Maids are marketed as real life anime, if you will. You see cute 2D girls and this is what you're getting in 3D. It's no different than any other themed eating place like butlers, car-hops, 50s diners, etc.

You don't go to a 50s dinner to try and fuck a waitress just because she's wearing a poodle skirt and roller skates just because you got a thing for retro pin-up girls.

Maid cafes literally have a list of house rules and all of them have rules about not touching the maids, not asking them about personal info (contact adresses, but also things like what time their shifts end etc) and most maids even have nicknames rather than their real names. I know the maids at the events I've been to didn't wear their personal event badges, unlike other staff/artists/etc, because their real name is on them.

Actual Japanese maid cafes are very different. In my experience, con ones (and western ones in general) are usually a lot more laid-back. We danced, we played games with the customers, the food was decorated cute, our decorations and uniforms were cute, but nobody ever tipped.
It just seems like people also don't understand how difficult it is to put on a good maid cafe, and think the ticket price is enough to cover all the food and decorations and still have a huge profit. Usually not the case, and you see it here too in cgl whenever these threads come up and people bitch about how bad every maid cafe is. There's not much of that on this thread but still.

Not every themed cafe is set up the way hooters is. Obviously exluding hooters and any hooter knockoffs most waitresses who work at a non sexual themed cafes dont wear uniforms specifically to turn on paetrons. Just because you have a fetish for whatever the theme of the cafe is dosent mean you can should the make jobs of waitresses harder and uncomfortable by trying to make a pass at them.

I know some maid cafes don't give a shit about how they come off but most maid cafes try very, very hard to be seen as non sexually as possible. It's just cute fun. Rule number one is almost always "Don't touch the maids" or "Don't ask them for their personal information"

>> No.9902350

>>9902276
Even Hooters will show you the door if you get too frisky with the waitresses. They have an extremely strict "look but don't touch" business model, and escalating beyond playful flirtation will get you a male server from that point on.

What tips would you give to maids who want to look cute but have never really even touched makeup? I want to work for a maid cafe but I'm afraid of looking like this.

>> No.9906703

Unless your maid cafe is staffed with fatties and uggos, it's going to be impossible to guarantee that nobody will ask for their number. Ever work in the restaurant industry? Female waitresses, even the average looking ones, get asked out on dates constantly just due to the sheer number of people they interact with daily. At cons it will be amplified even moreso because you tend to deal with a lot of single men.

>>9902350
Yes of course you should look but don't touch. But patrons asking waitresses for dates *will* happen.

>> No.9906709

>t's going to be impossible to guarantee that nobody will ask for their number
The point of the rule is not to lower the chance of it happening to 0, it's so that people that aren't socially retarded follow it and to make the worst ones aware that the establishment will kick your sorry ass out if you're harassing the staff.

>Invest in decent wigs, and not just shiny cosplay ones. Natural colours will work wonders as well.
> Your makeup doesn't have to be top of the line, or ott. Just make sure your face gets exfoliated and washed so any cream or foundation doesn't get clumpy. White waterline eyeliner is a terrible idea. I recommend looking at kawaii pateen makeup tutorials that incorporate a sweet and natural look.
They usually use browns and pinks which will look good on anyone.
I hope this was somewhat useful, I'm not an expert, but I know you can do better than them anon! You'll do great, I believe in you!

All of these maids look like smashed trash....

>> No.9906836

The problem with the cafes ive seen are that the maids need to be skilled in food service, at least a little skilled in acting/dancing, fairly outgoing and not socially awkward. Plus know how to walk, dance and work in short-skirted uniforms, do decent makeup and hairstyling, and have the money to buy their uniform, wig, supplies, shoes etc and be willing to come to the practices.

These are the basics. Being at least semi-cute and not too fat helps.

Now, thinking on those, how many girls do you know who have these criteria and who are interested in doing all this for free on a con schedule for no more than a badge at most?

That's why the con and volunteer cafes aren't very good.

You honestly just need to view their Facebook page to see how much of a mess it all is. Usually there's a fixed uniform, and normal non-anime weeby names in maid cafès. But this is a cheap, unorganized weeb dream

I recently went to a maid Cafe that was held in a recent con in Minnesota, I was expecting it to be like a restaurant almost, to at least get a tiny menu to choose from or something.
The whole time they just played games for an hour with us and occasionally other Maids brought tiny snacks.
Then they all did a dance to one song.
Then it was all over we had to leave.
Was I stupid for expecting some kind of restaurant feel? I feel bad.

>> No.9907346

You were a bit stupid, yes. Western maid cafes are a hollow shell of what Japanese maid cafes are. Go to Akiba if you want the full experience, you most likely won't have that at a maid cafe held at a convention.

OOF, agreed. Some of the Maidreamin cafes I've been to had some pretty bad service (barely any contact with maid, some maids didn't even try to come off as cute) and they are super expensive. Most western con based cafes seem much more affordable and usually have a very motivated and enthousiastic staff. Plus, not all western cafes have cringy shit like food spells etc, those are just too awkward

What do you not like about NNN, SP, Cherry Pie (does that one exist still)? Or any others that I may have missed?

I've been to the ninja cafe and sparkling potpourri.
Sparkling potpourii has changed a bit. Instead of choosing a few things from the menu, there are combination meals you can choose.
Each table also has their own maid who will serve you during your stay to give you a more personal experience or something.

The ninja cafe was new at the animecon. Though they have a maid cafe in Akihabara.
It's basicly a maid cafe but with the girls dressed as ninjas intead of maids.
They had a very small menu but the maids/ninjas would write down your name in hiragana or katakana in chocolate and draw cute stuff.
It was nice.

>>9917389
The ninja one sounds cool! And how did you like the changes of SP? I checked their menu and while it seems okay, I'm personally more of a fan of a la carte, but if it works... I'm all for the Dutch con cafes getting better and more professional

>> No.9917529

>>9917510
I liked the changes.
Now that there are more and more maid café popping up, sparkling potpourri is no longer THE maid cafe of the Dutch cons.
Everyone can buy a few maid dresses and sell lemonade and roze koeken bought at the sligro.
With these changes SP can differentiate itself a bit from the other maid cafés.
I liked it how the food was based of anime figures or other cute stuff.
Looking at the flyer I brought with me they sold stuff totoro, pikachu or pink bunny cupcake, and a kitty donut.
The menu is a bit small right now but I hope it expands at future cons.
