There's also the soapbox problem. All information is shareable and accessible. I know a genderqueer fuck who, first of all, is 20 and still hasn't grown out of it.
Also, they pretty much present as a girl, with long hair in feminine colors like pink and purple, wear a noticeable amount of makeup on a regular basis (like winged eyeliner, for example), and wear a lot of dresses, skirts and other girly clothes/accessories. This I can believe, but I think this one kinda depends on where you life. The group that likes feminine men is getting more towards equality, especially with things like K-pop becoming more popular as regular music in the west. Where I life people don't care that much anymore about it. Some like it, some hate it. But it's a personal prefference instead of a norm. But I know there are enough other places where people do care, I can imagine it being a problem there.

Besides, people calling you names if one thing, but masculinity is often attached in peoples mind to physically strong, and feminine the oposite. If that is true or not is secondary here. The changes a strong woman doesn't take shit is high than a feminine guy, so it's looks quicker like an easier target with small to no consequences in general
