Ive tried some Festivus Ale, it was really dry and bitter. Didnt like it too much. Maybe because it was from growler, but I kinda doubt that.
Wintervention:
Very dark and heavy stout. Hoppy and bright for its color though. Very enjoyable, and 10% ABV.

>comparing 1554 to old rasputin
They are completely different styles.
That being said, I am sad New Belgium stopped making 2 below, but 1554 is my go to for them now.
Old Rasputin is a thick, rich, complex beer, and I enjoy it; but it is easy to see why some people dislike it.

deep fry? Just dont, cook in a pan in oil maybe, but Id boil and serve with a sauce that compliments the filling.
Make a Goat cheese, honey and fig with a lite cream sauce.

A moment please, /ck/?

For reasons I will not get into, me and my significant other will be having an early Christmas dinner tonight before we have to go in with the families for that cluster fuck.

I was going to make a béchamel with shrimp and pasta, but she said she doesnt want that so now I need your ideas. I have an oven, cast iron and many other pans, some turkey stock left from thanksgiving, a pestel and mortar, etc etc.
So what should I make?

pic is some food I made
