It comes in a few different fashions. The ones locally cart around a bunch of different food and you tell them which ones you want. They check off a list what you took and tally it at the end of your meal. Other places I've been to have a list at your table and you choose what you want. They bring it and stamp your list, then tally it at the end. Every place is different, you just really need to go with the flow. You won't regret it though, dim sum is some tasty shit. Hit up a place, I promise you won't be disappointed.

I can see where you're coming from, but only for cliche couples. The people who are feeding each other. The people who are intentionally making a big deal about their date night or whatever it is. Yes, those people need to be taken down a notch. Those who just quietly have a nice evening out enjoying a night away from their work or kids I completely understand; they're trying to get away from the insanity of life and have a good night out. But the assholes who want everyone to look at them and go "aww, what a quite couple" need to be slapped with a dose of reality. Nobody cares, nobody wants to see that, and they're ruining the nights of others.

This guy gets it. Just enjoying an evening out by yourself is great. You're trying to come down from the day, enjoy some good food, and have some peace of mind. You're doing what one would consider a normal night out for those who aren't completely consumed by being an attention whore of some sort. I applaud your not-giving-a-fuck frame of mind and wish more people were like you.

Diminishing returns. I'd love for a restaurant to cater to singles just doing their thing, but they take a profit hit and that's not how business works unfortunately. The world isn't up to that frame of mind yet, and may never well be what with herd mentality.

What small advise I could give, is just enjoy your evening and ignore everyone else. What you enjoy, and what you do matters most. Comparing yourself to anyone else is belittling yourself and all that you do. Let the cliche couples do their thing. Let the hipsters be hipsters. You know you're better than that. I know you're better than that. In the end what we're left with are the moments in which we enjoyed, and letting others ruin those moments takes from the cherished we put ourselves to sleep with.

I want to say huevos rancheros. The spices are distinct between the two cultures. Traditional shakshuka calls for peppers like Jalapeno and Bell Pepper, and spices like cumin, paprika and cayenne. Huevos rancheos goes more in the direction of Morita chilies and adds a smokiness to it, and additional flavors like garlic and lime. The dishes themselves are similar but they do sport a different flavor profile.

Love wings. Last time I made them was during this most recent Super Bowl. My buddy invited me over to his place, or rather his father-in-law's place--really an amazing house, he raises chickens, has a fish farm of tilapia and one of the largest backyard gardens I've visited--to watch the game. Made about 200 wings but played it safe. 100 of a simple honey and hickory smoked wings, and another 100 of garlic butter wings. They turned out great. I wanted to be a little more adventurous but when you're cooking for a crowd it's better to play safe.

If I want Chinese food I go straight for dim sum. Rice is pretty good eating, but very stereotypical of most oriental foods and doesn't often belong. It has it's place in certain cuisine, but it's a poor man's dish if we're going to be frank. I have the benefit of working with a lot of Asians; Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean, Filipino... they've taught me so much about real Asian food I don't believe I can ever go back to commercial oriental cuisine.

Almond milk.

I love the stuff, and it's probably one of the better milks for you.
