I think white sushi rice has a more neutral taste which helps focus on the other ingredients more.

I have tried brown rice sushi. It was good, but it does have a stronger taste and may not work well with everything. Works well with shitaki mushrooms.

Ha. Nicely said. I cam't watch Kitchen Nightmares. Not because of the horror of going to a bad place, it is just painful to watch their reactions to him and vide versa. Plus maybe the editing and camera.

Master Chef is a bit better a roommate and a friend's gf have gotten me to watch with them.

Bourdain's shows are fantastically shot and just have a fantastic mood and atmosphere. Of course it depends where he is, but I have found myself fascinated by places and their food I never thought I would.

I am actually down Cape Cod right now, not far from the factory. Went on a tour years ago. They had a ton on sale at a local market for tourists and I got some of that crab seasoning one.

for dessert they have Italian bombas for some reason. the cappuccino one was great.

mango chicken was pretty fantastic too

Some of the best pad thai I have tried. And one of the best scallop dishes I have had and I live in New England.

I have a couple amazing sushi places near my place, and this is as great if not better than those.

Can't always find pickled plum and cucumber rolls. And the salmon row with quail egg is even better than the one I get back home. They even added shiso.
