Overrated.

150g of protein from whey is some $1.85.

In many first-world countries, powders are the cheapest (and protein, the most efficient) nutrients.

They're reduced from milks. This also has the benefits of how simple producing various preparations of milky / creamy / frothy / etc., is.

Soylent is obviously far more expensive, and is based on "soi", amongst also only having the option of loading up on nutrients when simply having some food.

That opinion is childish, archaic, and garbage.

It obviously depends on the budgeting, availability, and interest in consuming potentially large amounts of something for small amounts of vitamins and mineerals; but either way, how ludicrous it is suggesting simplicity of abundant nutrition with how small of amounts are in most foods, especially unto vitamin C (of which, small species are producing 10+ g[!]/day; and it's evidenced that even 5x the RDA in non-producers is basically ineffective).
