Trigger's thing is drawing characters serious in closeup and cartoony from a distance, but the Mankanshoku family are comic relief so they're basically potatoes with faces no matter where. This is more representational of how the rest of the cast looks in general and yes the blonde guy in the back is enormous, he's half American.
