I ate nothing but dahl fry for three months while I was trying to be an aesthetic.
It doesn't freeze well, you would think it does but this is simply not the case

People didn't have access to plastic and could often only afford one or two metal pans.
For most of our history people made do with earthenware pots and in Asia bamboo steamers.

I once made creme brule with a flower pot by lighting a fire under it with the dead shrub that was in it, using it to baine marrie the custtard in the bowl I was eating out of, used snow to chill it and topped it by liquefying the sugar in my spoon on the fire, emptying the pot of water and heating it to grill the top.
It wasn't the best creme brule I ever made, but you would look at it and say "that is a creme brule"

Steamers are very easy to avoid, because you can use just about any vessel inside a pot as if you were making Hainan chicken.
Mortar and pestle?
Just use the two chopping boards together to crush thing- use the back of a metal spoon or the flat of your knife after that.

Ovens were traditionally just large ceramic pots that have a flat stone in them- works great.
Grills are really hard without power, unless you want to strip a microwave inverter and use a salt bath regulator make do with a pan, you can flip it upsidown to make chipatti, or the like

If you made a list of what you actually couldn't cook it wouldn't be life-changing

Many stupid people spend far more on food that is necessary.
>carbs
Carbs cost nothing, empty carbs are fine.
>protien
Protein doesn't just come from meat, people typically eat far too much meat, you can get most if not all your protein from beans or tofu (a bean product), or eggs.
Meatards say meat has micronutients- this is true but you only need a tiny amount of meat to get those micro nutrients.
I eat less than 300g of meat a week, but a kilo of tofu and a kilo of dried beans.
>fiber
Then you need to process this, that means fiber.
Most Americans in particular just shit out what they eat undigested because their diet is totally devoid of fiber.
Americans shart in the mart, bowel problems are chronic in America- the reason is no fiber.
>nutrients
What else do you need?
Well you might want some tinned fish,

Then supplements, if for what ever reason you don't meet your micro-nutrients by accident:
Iodized salt
Bottled lemon juice
Any kind of pickle

This whole field of science is a farce, on one had you have an endless legions of shills.
Dairy is not needed in your died, calcium is not a macro-nutrient, it's just a stupid way of getting carbs (unless you actually own animals)

Consider making food in bulk and freezing portions to reduce waste.
making everything on one day means you have all the scraps to make stock on the same day.
