25 years old isn't "college years," though, meng. most people graduate by the time they're 23. 25 years old was when my alcoholism started to become something that became less about partying and more about isolating and managing the addiction for me, so idk... don't enable it.

two weeks sober here. 26 years old and it took me a LONG time to realize the "sad clown" drunk, martyr complex thing wasn't helping me at all with figuring anything out. it just made me realize i really, really didn't care about anybody or anything i was doing. i've been taking longer sobriety breaks these past four months (went a month and a half in March). i can do three weeks but when I go back to drinking, i can get back to drinking a pint (375 mL) of cheap vodka a day within three days of the beginning of the bender. the paranoid thoughts/conspiracies/theories get more and more insane... alcohol-induced psychosis. i know a lot of posters here are experiencing this sort of thing....
