So I am making a brine right now for a whole pork loin I picked up on sale at Frys and I was wondering if I could also brine chicken in the same brine.

Would I have to separate the brine into two different containers and then go from there or could I just keep them in the same container?

The reason I ask is because this brine took 1.3 cups of maple syrup and it would be a shame to use that much only for one item.

because of poor folk "wisdom" basically (and this comes from experience of being this economically destitute) you were taught by your mother to cook shit all the way through because you didn't know if it was good or not because it was the cheap cuts, or because it was old, or because they're mom did it that way because no fridge, so there, its passed down bullshit from poor person to poor person, some people garner a taste for that, I never did... once I grew up and learned how to cook I showed my mom we didn't need to burn and dry out our steaks and chicken and eat them with ketchup... it was a revelation to her.
