We are not omnivores, we're obligate carnivores. We survive and thrive on animal products, and in times of starvation when no animals are around we resort to eating an unnatural diet of plants which is harmful and unsustainable but it just barely keeps us alive until we find more food. You can live a long time if you have lots of fats, proteins, and other nutrients stored from a long past of eating animals. Plants are not food (for humans)
