I always see Americans saying this and it's always WE GOT SO MUCH MORE OPTIONS FOR FOOD THAN FLYOVERS and I really have to wonder. Is food ALL you consider cultural? Are Americans really like this?

You're the only people who think you're a cultural centre of anything. The USA is where culture goes to die. To be torn down into some "deconstructionist post-modern minimalism" dreck because actual culture might not be compatible with everyone so it's better to shave off the edges and make it inclusive because that in turn means it can be sold to even more people for profit.
History and cultural significance can't be built on a production line, so you'll never understand it.
