I love the image of a fat guy circling the sub all night acting like "oh wow there's still some left" and eating 4 goddamn feet of sandwich by the end.
That's like the average height of an adult dwarf.

Really he's just babby's first cooking channel/show.

The reason people don't like him is mostly his personality. his early stuff was good, where he does his best to recreate dishes from tv/movies. Overall he's not a bad cook, teaches good stuff, has a good set, but he's a little full of himself and his VO is annoying. Acts like his opinions are ironclad rules, etc. He's got just a touch of the smug ego that made Tony Bourdain charming in person (off-camera) but annoying on TV and VO, but Babish doesn't have the skill, likability, nor flexibility to back it up.

He's not bad, he's a perfectly good learning tool, and my favorite way to introduce phillistines to cooking in an easy-to-stomach way.

Chowder based off bacon, rather than some other meat like clam, oyster, etc.

>mfw people come to England with the impression that jellied eels is anything other an a gimmick dish

I've lived here my entire life and haven't even seen it on any menu, let alone eaten it. It's like people who hear about surströmming and then think it's a staple of scandinavian diet.

>tfw GMOs are more nutrient rich, flavoursome and down right better for the enviroment

It's okay though, let those hippie gorge on their bland tasting, outdated pesticide covered, blight-ridden "organic" food.
