Where the fuck do you think you are? Everybody knows this; nobody thinks TB is fine dining or even real Mexican food. The point is that they removed all the best menu items, raised prices, then brought back some of the things that used to be decent - at twice the price and half the size. The point isn't that people can't afford $2. The point is that there's no point for companies like this to exist once they price themselves out of their cheap, late-night drunken garbage niche. The point isn't that spending $10 on a meal is unaffordable. The point is that there's no reason to spend $10 on Taco Bell because at that point you could spend the same amount of effort and just slightly more money to get a non-fast food meal.

You'd be surprised. It may not be true anymore, but historically /ck/ has always been one of the older boards.

If you had to choose between eating the “authentic” cuisine of a single country every day for the rest of your life, or being an American and eating a decent to very good version of every cuisine whenever you felt like it, which would you choose? And if it’s the former, which cuisine would you choose?

I’d choose to be an American and get sushi one night, Mexican food the next night, Thai food the night after that, and so on. I love all of those foods, but the thought of having to eat any single one them for virtually every meal is kind of depressing.

Taco Bell hasn't been popular in like 3 years. They just added a few new items last month and I think I've seen one thread about it. They got rid of most of their best items and raised all the prices and it's just not worth it anymore.

Not OP, but what in the actual fuck are you talking about? Even 5 years ago Taco Bell was one of the last places with a real dollar menu (when's the last time you've even looked at a McDonald's menu lol?), and just look at them now. Basically restaurant prices for a worse selection of worse items.

/ck/ is more of a lifestyle board, rather than a place to come to find "inspiration". If you're nice, and have a legitimate cooking question, you will find really helpful advice from drunken professionals - but most people don't understand how to do that.
