You're deluding yourself if you think most people prior to 90 years ago ate nearly as much meat as they do now, and stupid if you think that literal half-centuries of clinical correlations between trans fats, saturated fats, high LDL:HDL ratios and cardiovasclar disorders mean nothing because you used the word "meme". Also be aware that there is more than one cause for these diseases, and every studied person knows that both simple carbohydrates and saturated fats contribute to cardiovascular disfunction. You don't have to favor one factor so heavily, this isn't a Twilight book club. I'm not gonna let you apply this bullshit two-party-system reasoning to nutrition without being called an idiot.
