If you want quality meat in the US you have to go to the ethnic butchers. All the obscure dietary restrictions jews and muslims have mean they're usually the biggest supplier of local grass fed beef and chicken.

Like you said, its cheap in bulk. A guy my family knows gave us like 2 cows worth of meat for $4.99/lb. We divided it between 4 households and gave a bunch to friends and still haven't made a dent in it 2 months later.

Don't worry about the radiation, it's non-ionizing, you wouldn't want to eat a potato with a tumor would you?
