My ex's (we were dating at the time this happened) best friend's dad was busted a couple years ago for CP possession and distribution. He had over 2 terabytes of CP on his computer when they raided his house.

His wife found his hidden CP stash and turned him in to the authorities. He left an encrypted folder open and she stumbled across it when she was using his computer to look up directions or a phone number or some shit. The kicker? He was a computer science professor at the local university.

I always laugh when I think about this story because his daughter/ex's friend is a huge cunt. By all measures she is an objectively terrible person. Anyways, I like what happened with her dad because it means he might have molested her when she was a kid and if anyone deserved to be molested by their father when they were a kid it was her. It would explain a lot about why she is so fucked in the head.

He made a plea deal and got 20-something years but it's effectively a life sentence since he has terminal cancer. A few weeks before it happened we were at their house for a big cookout. I helped him out on the grill and setting stuff up. He was friendly and seemed like a completely normal, middle-aged guy so it was a bit creepy to learn that he was a raging pedophile. The creepiness didn't last long though, I was literally laughing out loud when it dawned on me that he likely molested his daughter.
