Gonna lay a truth bomb on you that most coffee snobs don't want to acknowledge.
Coffee is a stimulant, that's the main purpose is serves, something you drink when you need a "pick me up" when you're tired/exhausted. Literally every fancy method of making coffee has just been an attempt at trying to make coffee slightly more palatable and then tricking yourself into thinking it's good. Just add milk and sugar to that shit to make it decent and drop the pretense, you'll be happier.
