For me it's that some canned food is as good as fresh (considering shelf life as a factor of value) for specific items (think viteli tomatoes) there is practically no difference in quality but now they have started selling shit like that in bags because of the association of poor quality which is true for shit like green beans or spinach but not all canned goods are lower quality then traditionally packaged versions canning tech has advanced alot since the 30s
