I guess this is one of the few foods actually created in Brazil.

It’s called coxinha, and it’s a chicken-filled fried dumpling. The name translates to “little thigh.”

The lore goes that some Portuguese noble wanted to eat chicken, but there was not a lot, so the royal cook cooked and shredded a chicken, mixed with tomato sauce and other things, and used it to fill a drumstick-shaped dumpling.

Most of what we eat as a whole is Italian, French and Russian.
