Real answer: None of them. Most of them charge way too much for something that isn't even worth the money, and in the case of burger joints take an extra arm and leg off for the fries and drink. I stopped going to McD's when I realized that their serving portions were pitifully small while charging increasingly more, and the last "food" I bought at Pizza Hut was a pasta that I realized I could have just made myself at home for a fraction of what I paid.

I mainly buy at local chains nowadays, and only if I don't feel like cooking for myself and/or feel like eating unhealthy. Only times I buy fast food are if I'm on the road/vacation and don't have access to my kitchen. Depending on the country you visit one of these restaurants in, the cost might actually be worth it.

I just got back from the KFC drive-thru, and ordered the five dollar box with tendies, and wedges instead of mashed potatoes. But when I opened the box, I had mashed potatoes!

I work 10 hour shifts at a warehouse. I make simple dishes that can be microwaved and eaten in less than 30 minutes. But I'm getting bored with my go-to's. I also bring little snacks for in between breaks like Jerky and yogurt.

• Chicken and brown rice with black beans and brocoli

• Stir fry

• Marzetti

• Chicken Fettucini Alfredo

• Tuna Salad Sandwich/Other deli sandwiches

• PB&J

• Soft Boiled Eggs

• Spinach Salad with Feta, Walnuts, onion and balsamic, olive oil for dressing

What other go-to's would you guys prepare if you worked this same sort of job?

Messy kitchen, messy mind. I clean, wipe down and organize/consolidate everything as I go along.

Even just giving everything a wipe down with a damp cloth soaked in disinfectant/degreasing solution every ten minutes or so greatly decreases the amount of cleaning you have to do at the end.
