I worked at a taco bell in high school for a few months back in the 90s and personally saw three people get fired because they took longer than 90 seconds to prepare an order. Sure, even then you'd have shitheads sitting at the intercom for 10 minutes deciding what they wanted, but the service itself was always fast regardless of restaurant. I swear I haven't managed to go through a drive through in less than 20 minutes for years now. Doesn't matter if it's a massive line of cars or just a few or if it's burger king, wendy's, kfc, mcdonald's, it always takes fucking ages.

The sole point of fast food was that it was fast and now you could pay less and eat faster if you just go to a fucking diner.

The biggest factor to that was real sugar rather than high fructose corn syrup. Most grocery stores will sell glass bottle coke imported from mexico that still have real sugar like american coke used to. Grab a bottle of that and a standard can of coke, pour them into glasses and try telling me the mexican coke doesn't taste far better. It's a fucking crime that we've replaced real sugar in soft drinks with corn syrup.

While a small amount of a hangovers side effects are caused by compounds in alcohol the overwhelming majority of the effects are from dehydration. If you follow each drink with a glass of water you can drink a gallon of whiskey throughout the day and feel perfectly fine the next morning. If you didn't and are already in the grips of a hangover, chug water. Like a solid 2 liters of it. It'll be unpleasant but within an hour or so you'll feel far better. Then just keep steadily drinking water (or Gatorade as electrolytes will only help) and you'll be feeling great come afternoon.
