Humans have been eating food that was BRIEFLY touched by flies or other insects for as long as they have existed simultaneously. If you have such a weak immune system that 6 micrometers of "contamination" from a fly's legs kill you then you don't deserve to live and were probably a common cold away from death anyway.

Speaking as someone whose best friend shot himself: I loved him like a brother and I will miss him for the rest of my life.
