1. Sugar is only part of the diet. Little did we know that people get fat primarily from carbs and fats

2. It takes many years of dedication to get very unhealthy from sugar consumption. It's way more forgiving and less addicting than actual drugs. They are nothing alike.

3. Drug addicts die early, so that statistics are going to be unfair for sure. I think it's called "survivorship bias"
