well, personally i don't eat red meat, partly due to the health benefits and partly due to the environmental impact of raising beef (water use, feed use, emissions, etc)
but the difference between going vegetarian and just eating fish, pork and chicken, all of which are delicious, are really negligible, and i'd never go vegan
the emotional side of it has literally no impact on me, i know i can kill a chicken and break it down with my bare hands and use it all, and i feel great about that
