Heey there fellow al/ck/ies - here's my story, just felt like sharing.
I've been drinking everyday for about 3 years. About 7-8 cans of 8-9% cider/beer. Mostly been functional (not missing work etc. although im pretty sure all my colleagues knew at this point). Things got slowly worse as I started drinking before work and sometimes even brought a cheeky can of cider to work with me. Anyway there was another problem - I didnt get the shakes or withdrawal because I was also on zopiclone (antibenzodiazepite) which I've also been taking for 3-4 years because I cant sleep. So anyway - my contract ended so i spent a month of just staying home and boozing - at least work held me in line a little i guess. I went back home to my family later on and on the second day had some form of epileptic fit (dont mix booze with benzos). this was followed by an ambulance, hospitals, MRI CT scans you name it. My liver is fucked so is my frontal cortex, with a chance for recovery though. Last drink i had was on Feb 12th - dont really get cravings - the only downside is that now my family looks at me like I'm scum. Just felt like sharing anons. There's a small bonus though - now instead of drinking I cook a lot more.
