ITT: people with no self awareness. A business lunch with people you're not close with is not a pig out session, even if you've been traveling all day and you just got to the restaurant from the airport, you control yourself and eat at a normal pace, in normal quantities, unless it's people you're already very comfortable with. Don't be the only person drinking alcohol. Don't be the only person NOT drinking alcohol. Don't order dessert when nobody else did. Don't skip dessert if everyone else is ordering, even if you are on a diet, eat the god damm dessert. Unless you just ordered a small soup or a salad, it's better to leave a little food than scrape the plate clean. If the food is spectacular it is acceptable to comment but don't make UNNNGH noises and don't make more than one comment. Do not show off your autism with respect to alcoholic beverages, no one gives a shit that the scotch selection sucks. If the wine is corked, keep your mouth shut.

The focus of the meal should not be on your own idiosyncrasies, or how hungry you are.
