Why the fuck can't /v/ have their LOL threads for example? What could those possibly have been hurting?
If someone doesn't like the al/ck/ threads they're very easy to hide specifically because it's all kept in ONE thread. It's good for the alkies and it's good for the rest of us.
And meanwhile there's a goddamn dozen of threads about a goddamn dozen of different, slightly so, burger chains. I don't hate those either but it really puts on display the utter hypocrisy involved in moderation here.
I seriously thought about applying as a janitor last time they had open applications, but when I read up on it it was obvious you can't make any fucking difference as a janny anyway. All they can do is report stuff they don't like. I could do that already if I thought the board needed MORE deletion, which I don't.
