Hell yeah brother, enjoy it while you can. I'm in a state where there aren't any canes and I have to make it myself. The bootleg version gets pretty close, but it's still not the same. Pic rel, I haven't had the real thing in several years.

It's not complicated, just dredge them in a flour and spice mixture until they're completely covered. Then let them rest so the moisture seeps into the flour and bonds to the chicken. Then you can either dip them again in egg or buttermilk, dredge, rest and fry.

Pic related is skinless chicken tenders marinated in buttermilk and pickle juice, dredged in flour one time. Don't know how people fuck up fried chicken so much. It's actually impressive considering how easy it is.

I just marinate the chicken in buttermilk and make a seasoned flour dredge. The buttermilk and the flour make a sort of batter as they rest. It's really easy, and some of the best fried chicken/tendies I've had are the ones I make. Sometimes it's hard to beat a classic. Pic related
