>even if you go back one, two, three decades to "the good ol' days before that dang inflation" fast food was still relatively expensive, for no reason besides average joe willingly overpaying for fucking fast food
>fast forward to today
>one proper meal at mcd's or burger kang or whatever costs basically one week's worth of groceries

I have been serving grits under my protein lately, in a ring mold, after being baked. It holds up and the texture is ok, but it still looks like shit.
my salads look amazing, but the main course is struggling to keep up

My first taste was of corona from my dad, I thought it was disgusting of course

In high school I visited my friend's college and his female floormates kidnapped me and talked me into taking a shot of vodka because they thought I was cute

I don't mean like attractive cute, I mean like teddy bear cute but maybe there's some overlap

Anyways I was sipping at natty ice while I worked up the balls to take the shot and then I chased it with more natty ice and then one of the girls kissed me

I ended up gay

I wonder what caused the shift in these threads, to prompt the mass-posting of Buzzfeed/Tasty/Vox webms every single time, plus meaningless webms of streetfood pulled straight off the same Facebook pages every time.
It wasn't even one year ago or so that these threads were made up mostly of stuff that was considered "funny" or at the very least interesting to look at, but what the fuck is this shit?
Is it literally one anon, vomiting his entire Buzzfeed/Tasty collection every single time he spots a webm thread?

Even when something newish is posted (like the chink youtuber here), it's never one thing or two, it's a thread-overtaking flood from a single person.

i just can't into whiskey. i've tried flavored whiskeys, bourbon, rye, scotch, i just don't seem to like any of them unless i mix it with coke zero or diet ginger ale. i can drink other clear spirits just fine so i don't understand why whiskey just doesn't work for me.

stop drink shit tier alcohol like cheap beer that is full of Fusel Alcohols and Acetaldehyde. You're way to young to be getting hangovers, you need to hydrate and replenish your electrolytes and some real calories for energy. protip; chicken broth won't load up your stomach and kill your buzz but is full of electrolytes and enough cal to keep your body from going into shock from low blood sugar

i will never understand people that get hangovers when they were young. my friend and i all remember drinking so much we got sick and passed out in a church parking lot, woke up feeling great..actually better then we'd normally feel. And we were heavy drinkers, most of started at 12 or 13yo, we started to think hangovers weren't a real thing until our 20's when our livers weren't so fresh anymore

Brewing a batch of Joe's ancient mead rn. Letting it sit an extra month. A little worried about the raisins sitting in there. Can they get botulism? Anyways, I'll be bottling it this weekend. I'll post results maybe.

Imagine being this smug and delusional about getting an education in culinary.

Working in a kitchen is literal hell. Enjoy working weekends and holidays for the rest of your life with a crew of bitter, disfunctuional highschool dropouts.
And good luck with the "six figure salary" you're not making that unless your the personal chef for a 3rd world military dictator.

Thanks for the larf tho homie.

>roasting chicken in glass Pyrex pan
>Have been cooking all day, dry brined and everything
>Take chicken out
>Tons of super soft delicious veggies and pan droppings in Pyrex
>Put it on the stove top with some white wine and flour to reduce to make a pan sauce with it
>Suddenly and all at once the Pyrex explodes into a million pieces outward, sending glass everywhere
>Sounds like an IED went off
>I'm shellshocked it was so loud
>Here gf yelling from other room what happened but can't move or respond for a few seconds
>Liquid overflows all over the stove top and seeps behind and around oven
>Meal is totally ruined, all that hard work for nothing
>Spend next hour cleaning up glass

Apparently because glass can be in an oven for so long doesn't mean it can be on a stovetop
