Does anyone still use shortening anymore? My mom and grandma used it all the time in baking, but I never see recipes that call for it these days.

Diabetes is mainly from malfunctioning liver (which needs to be healed ...see RBTI method)...and second, from too much PUFAs which when taken up by your body's cells restricts the ability of insulin to shuttle glucose into the cells...hence the constant high blood glucose levels.

STAY AWAY FROM PUFAs. Keep fat intake realatively low, but prefer SFAs over PUFA and if you take in PUFA try to pair it with SFA at a ratio of 1:1 grams.

Avoid anything with CRISCO like the plague, nuts, vegetable oils, salad dressings, etc.
