The only complication is that I live in europe and the ingredients take a little time to get ahold of and I usually decide on a dish when im already hungry.
This means that I need to leave the house to go look for ingredients which depending on the very specific dishes I look into may or may not be in the shops available to me.
I need a list over all common ingrediens that appear as often as possible among the many dishes from there and what dishes to make from them, which will not only decrease the time it takes to go look for ingredients in the moment, but decrease the overall visits. The next time I am looking at something specific, I can buy the ingredients for a few days before making the dish and not have to worry about having nothing to eat in the days that lead up to that.

this stuff is good in a pinch but i really suggest trying out this recipe

https://www.justonecookbook.com/mentsuyu-noodle-soup-base/

you can adjust proportions of ingredients if you think it needs a little extra something AND like the article mentions you can even use the katsuoboshi and kombu to make your own blend of furikake

I know it's cool to know everything or say that's stupid or some other such bullshit but god damn that just legitimately blew my mind. I'm gonna go out and buy a pineapple tomorrow.

thanks OP.

Going to Tokyo. Are Michelin 1star and Bob Gourmand restaurants worth it?

People I've asked say, almost every other place in Tokyo is amazing, and unless you're an absolute food snob you won't recognize the difference

Does anyone have experience eating a ramen/sushi of a similar price and it being pretty similar to the Michelin one?

Are there any East Asian dishes which contain no added sugar or sweeteners?

It's easy to avoid sugar when cooking Western, Middle Eastern, Latin American, and South Asian food, but it seems that East Asian cuisine makes this almost impossible. A Japanese dish will have sugar or mirin, a Chinese dish will have oyster or hoisin sauce, anything Thai will feature sugar or palm sugar, etc.

aww shiet. Funny though, I've never seen those in stores before. It seems like the kind of thing made at home.

The whole bit about the different kinds of Asians is pretty accurate.

Are there any daily made items in your store like banh mi or lod chong?

Couldn't find a QTDDTOT or FAQ and i am sure this gets asked quite a lot..

What are some examples of cheap meals that will provide all the required vitamins/carbs/fats/proteins? Looking for long term meals while i save money, does not have to taste great.

I once ate Scrambled Eggs with Locusts and Mealworms and it was pretty decent desu

But i wouldn't eat Locusts again simply because of their barbed legs that sometimes are not properly removed, and if you swallow one of those it can get stuck in your throat.
