What is the intellectual's drink? Is it green tea?

Hello /ck/.

I really love green tea, and I was wanting to get into brewing with loose leafs; Mostly because I like the flavor of it, and I feel like the tea-bags aren't giving me as strong of a flavor as brewing with loose-leaf would.

The problem I'm having is that I don't know what to pick. There are so many loose-leaf green tea brands, and I have no idea which is the good or the bad.

Basically, I was wondering if you could recommend me some pure loose-leaf green brands. Preferably that I can buy on amazon since I have no idea where they might sell loose-leaf where I live. The only big chain grocery stores around, --and it's only big chains. No small mom and pop places around-- are: save-a-lot, IGA, and Kroger. (also walmart super centers but I've already checked there and they didn't have anything)

Do any of you import tea? I want to start but I don't know what to buy.

What can /ck/ tell me about japanese tea?

Anyone have any green tea recipses yo make it less bitter? I am trying to get into the habbit of drinking atleast one cup of green tea a day for the health benefits.
I like the bitter taste sometimes but honestly I have to be in the mood for it.
