Pitting an avocado is very dangerous. It's much safer to buy premade guac.

In the past 6 months, I've known 3 people stab a knife through their hand while trying to open an Avocado....I found out it is very common apparently

What the fuck are these people doing? I've cut thousands of avocados and can't begin to imagine any scenario for this to happen

I'm not a retard so I've never injured myself in the kitchen enough to leave any type of permanent mark.

Pic related is the worst injury I've seen, my has been unable to cut an avacado open since she saw it first six months ago. I'm dumping that dumb bitch after we get back from our holiday next week.

I am. She is terrified of undercooking meat, cannot improvise and sadly cant even bake beyond betty crocker cakes and other processed crap.

I've rubbed off on her (giggity) a bit and she can now cook a somewhat decent (usually over salted) stir fry.

The next step would be her knife skills I suppose.

I'm a bartender, so I'm around a lot of glass and cut myself a lot that way. Yesterday I was putting two glasses away in a rack overhead, dropped one which fell and hit the glass in my other hand. The one I dropped didn't break, but the one in my hand shattered and cut the middle of my palm open.

Usually I just get little cuts like slamming my hand into a speed pourer or trying to twist off a pry off cap too hard.

If I'm hung over I cut my hands while slicing fruit in the morning too. So yeah I guess I do cut myself a lot.
