Had a hamburger with a friend once. He showed up drunk and sloppy and ended up having the burn spread over most of the table shoving bits and pieces in his face and getting both himself and everything else covered in condiments (he added extra).
Worst food I've ever had was a gull that I shot and roasted on a camping trip. I would have to be legit starving to death to eat gull again.

I know this was pretty much a South Park episode, but imagine having to explain something like the event in that webm to someone who dreams about being gifted a bowl of rice the same way we dream about winning the lottery.
I'm not saying we should be ashamed of having food when others don't, but it's kind of fascinating how incredibly different lives people have.
I do also think food should be treated with a little more respect.
