Perkins around me died during COVID, sucks. I didn't eat breakfast all that much there but they were a solid place to meet up with travellers and their bakery was good for pastries and treats in a pinch.

Ironically for me it was the other way around. Only Waffle House around me was in pure whitesville (when I was a kid, now it's half beantown). Denny's were more often in colored neighborhoods. IHOPs were mixed.
