You all laughed at me when I bought my $300 tactical water filtration system, but now the tap water across town is coming out looking like you already peed in it, so guess who came out on top in the end!

I've seen some ads for a water filter that claims to filter water "completely". At the risk of being called a shill I won't say which one it is. But my question is, isn't drinking water totally free of ANY mineral content downright dangerous? Kinda like athletes who just drink water during strenuous exercise and die. I've heard of people dying who would only drink distilled water because they thought that makes the water freer of contaminants. So is this shit even safe? Sounds like throwing the baby out with the bathwater, so to speak. Also, general water thread. Water is a food, yes?
