boiling the water beforehand makes it brew better, but it's a dicey process getting everything assembled with boiling water in the bottom chamber. and don't get me started on making multiple pots in quick succession.

Having said that, it does make a damn fine cup of coffee, and they make them in 1-, 2-, and 3-demitasse sizes (as well as 6-demitasse which is a pretty decent serving size) so >>10257524 might want to consider a moka pot too.
